The manager stood at the front of the conference room, introducing the new interns to the team. Kayla's mind, however, was elsewhere. When she heard the mention of "Luca," her heart skipped a beat, and her eyes zeroed in on him. Her thoughts raced as she took in his handsome face and tall frame. Was this the same guy who had spilled coffee on her during her arrival?Kayla tried to pay attention as the manager continued briefing the new interns, but her eyes kept drifting back to "Luca." She couldn't shake the memory of their awkward first encounter, and that feeling of irritation came back. But at the same time, she couldn't deny that he was attractive. Her feelings were a jumbled mess of annoyance, curiosity, and attraction.Kayla's thoughts continued to race as she looked at "Luca." She remembered the way he had grumbled and pushed past her without apologizing earlier. He still seemed like a rude and arrogant person, and now she was going to be working closely with him. The thought made her feel a mix of annoyance and wariness. As Kayla's thoughts continued to race, she suddenly felt a pair of eyes on her. She looked up and realized that "Luca" was looking back at her. Their eyes met for a brief moment before the manager said Kayla's name and began to introduce her. Kayla's cheeks flushed as she realized she had been caught staring. After the introduction, the manager dismissed the interns to their respective cubicles. Kayla looked around and realized that her cubicle was opposite "Luca's," making them practically neighbors. She couldn't help but feel a mixture of excitement and trepidation at the thought of working so close to him.with shock she looks up to meet his eyes also wide with shock OH No!

Luca's pov

Luca was trying to pay attention to the manager speaking, but he couldn't shake the feeling of being watched. He looked up and caught Kayla's gaze for a brief moment. Her dark eyes sparkled with a sharp intelligence, and her full lips were pressed together in a determined line. She looked both elegant and natural, with soft curves in all the right places. And then it suddenly clicked. This was the girl who had argued with him about the spilled coffee.A wave of recognition washed over Luca as he realized who she was. He remembered how confidently she had stood up to him about the spilled coffee, and he had to admit to himself that he found it admirable. But at the same time, he couldn't shake the irritation he had felt towards her that day. She was clearly a girl who had no problem speaking her mind and standing up for herself, and he found that both attractive and annoying. As Luca continued to discreetly look at Kayla, he suddenly realized that their cubicles were opposite each other. This meant they'd be working in close proximity to each other on a daily basis. Shock crossed his face as the implications sank in. He looked up instinctively, meeting Kayla's wide-eyed gaze across the space between them.
