We all stood there completely stunned at the fact of seeing our friend alive.
"Uh...hey." He shyly smiled. Kenji then immediately embraced him.
"How...? How...? How...?" Kenji said confused as we were. Brooklynn was next to hug him.
After he looked to me. "Hey Y/n...I—" before he could finish I embraced him tightly.
"I'm so sorry...I'm so sorry for letting you going." I cried a little. "I'm sorry Ben."
"Y/n."
"Maybe if I was stronger, you would've never gotten separated and I—"
"Y/n it's okay, you did everything you could to save me. I'm just happy to see you alive." He smiled.
"Same here." We then heard hap groan in pain.
"Oh, right. We should probably deal with that." He pointed to hap. He then grabbed some vines to use to tie him up. While he did he explained what happened to him, after the incident.
"So I fell off the monorail, got savaged by pteranodons, found bumpy, survived in the jungle, defeated Toro, and then I overheard that fancy couple conspiring with this guy, hap. So I figured you guys might need my help."
"Wait a minute you fought Toro as well?" I said.
"As well? You guys fought Toro?"
"Well, kind of same thing happened to me. I fell off the monorail and ran into a skirmish between the Raptors and the Indominus Rex and then made my way to go save these guys and fought a Baryonyx."
"Damn, guess the two of us had at the worst." He chuckled.
"Anyways, I still have your dork pouch....what?"
"Oh, yeah. I snatched it off of you earlier. But thanks for keeping it safe." He said while applying hand sanitizer. "Could have used this while fighting ol' Toro, eh, bumps?"
"Ben focus. The couple, what exactly did they say?" Brooklynn asked.
"Not too much, but they're definitely up to something. Hap, too. I say we feed him to the Mosasaurus or the T. Rex."
"Or you could listen to me." Hap suddenly said getting up.
"You're awake?"
"Of course I'm awake. You think I'm gonna be taken out by a bunch of kids?"
"Challenge accepted." Ben activated the staff.
"Put that down, boy, before you get yourself hurt."
"Someone's getting hurt, old man, but it ain't me." Ben threaten.
"Zap him, Ben!"
"With pleasure."
"Bring it!"
"Everyone calm the fuck down!" I got in between them. "Lower the damn staff, Ben!"
"You're protecting this guy? Whose side are you on, Y/n?!"
"As much as I would love to see you do it you can't."
"We don't have time for this! You kids have to trust me. I'm trying to save your lives."
"What...?"
Meanwhile
Darius POV:
We were back at camp while Tiff and Mitch were packing up a few things to head out to find Kenji, Brooklynn and Hap.
"Uh, what's going on? I mean, do we really need all this to go look for Brooklynn, Kenji, and Hap?" I asked them.
They looked at each other weirdly. "We just wanna be prepared for whatever we might encounter along the way. After all, the boat will be here in three days. You wanna be rescued in one piece, don't you?"
