"Any sign of them?"
"Not yet." The three of us continued to run through the jungle while making sure they weren't chasing. "Y/n, you see them?"
I just kept running with the laptop. "Y/n!" Yaz yelled.
"What?—what—no I don't." I said in a cold voice.
"Look I know you want to save Brooklynn but we have to do it together." I just remained silent and ran ahead.
Meanwhile
Brooklynn POV:
The man dragged me by my arm, out the building. Wu looked surprised to see me.
"You? You and the others campers, you never made it off the island."
"Oh, you know, we just happen to enjoy death and destruction." I replied.
"Hate to miss out on this reunion, but her friends took the laptop. Watch her!" The man threw me to the side while he and another man went after the others.
"Yaz is pretty much the fastest girl on the planet, and Darius is a pro at avoiding Dino's. Oh, and not to mention they have literal Hercules on their side. Trust me, they're long gone by now."
"Not with Hawkes on their tail. They won't get far." Another man said.
"Really? Has this Hawkes go toe-to-toe with a hybrid dinosaur not once not twice but multiple times?" He looked at me a little surprised. "Didn't think so."
Third POV:
The three campers continued to run through the jungle trying to get far enough. They stopped for a second but saw lights approaching. They quickly ran off as they got closer.
Hawkes and the other man followed after and used their thermal vision to see their heat signatures.
"I know you can hear me!" He yelled startling the kids. "Set down the laptop and nobody gets hurt. I won't come any closer. You have my word."
"Yeah, I'm calling bullshit on that. I see what happens when people try to do that." Y/n shouted back.
The voice sounded familiar to hawkes, like he knew him from somewhere. He just ignored it and signal for the other man to move forward.
The man slowly approached a bush seeing some heat signatures. He jumped out expecting to see the children. But instead ran into two Baryonyxes.
The two Dino's got up and roared at the man before eating him alive. Hawkes watched as it happened.
"We're heading to the valley to load up the chopper. That gives you about two hours to get there and bring me that laptop. It's the only way you'll ever see your friend again."
The three looked at each other with worry. They were left with a choice. Either they can leave and shut down Wu's operation or give the laptop back and save Brooklynn.
"Come on, we gotta go." Darius said before the three took off running.
Time skip
Y/n POV:
We kept running for a while, while thinking of a way to save Brooklynn. We headed in the direction of the boat hoping the others would be there.
In the distance we heard some voices. We eventually made it and saw Sammy, Kenji, and Ben.
