*Five months has passed.

The moon floated halfway in the sky, shining down on the Lotus Pier, softly radiating its gentle glow. Jiang Cheng tossed and turned in their quarters but felt restless, constantly readjusting in search of a comfortable position. His eyes suddenly opened, and then he sat up in bed-some sudden thought consuming his mind.

Beside him, Lan Xichen was deep in sleep, his breathing calm and even. But Jiang Cheng's sudden craving was too strong to ignore, and his grumpiness only intensified as he poked Lan Xichen's shoulder

Nie Huaisang grinned, "He's having mood swings."

A few of the cultivators looked in amusement at the screen.

Lan Xichen blinked awake, his eyes adjusting to the dim light. "Wanyin? What's wrong?"

Jiang Cheng shifted uncomfortably and patted his swollen belly. "I'm hungry!" He declared, his tone nearly accusing, as if Lan Xichen was responsible for the late-night craving.

"I mean, if we look from start then yes he is responsible for this!" commented Nie huaisang and Lan fimei was quick to agree.

Lan Xichen sat up immediately. "Do you want me to fetch something for you?" Jiang Cheng nodded at once.

Lan Xichen rubbed at his eyes, rubbing away the sleep. "Alright, I'll get you something to eat." He said, already tossing off the blanket.

Jiang Cheng caught his arm, stopping him. "I feel like eating Gusu food."

"Oh, Cheng cheng here you go! Slowly turning into a Lan..." said Wei wuxian with a wink.

Now it was Jiang Cheng who looked at his pregnant self in amusement. 'Indeed Lan genes.' He shook his head but a smile still crept up his soft lips.

"Lan genes are really strong." commented Nie huaisang.

Lan Xichen smiled softly and nodded. "Of course, Wanyin. I'll make you something right away."

Within minutes, Lan Xichen was working gracefully and precisely as usual inside the kitchen. He worked hard at this late hour; in every meticulous movement, one would know his love for Jiang Cheng. Comforting aromas of Gusu dishes soon wafted from the kitchen: delicate soup, steaming hot buns, lightly seasoned vegetables.

He carefully arranged the food on a tray, and Lan Xichen brought it back to their chamber, where Jiang Cheng was sitting up in bed, looking expectantly at him. He placed the food in front of Jiang Cheng with a warm smile. "Here you go, Wanyin. Just like Gusu."

Couple of 'Awws' were received from the crowd.

Lan Jingyi, finally coming back to his former self, grinned. "A-die always take good care of a-niang."

Jiang Cheng flushed a deep shade of red. "Un-Lan!"

Lan Jingyi laughed, wholeheartedly.

Jiang Cheng sniffed at the food, his face scrunching up in distaste. "It's not right!" he complained, pushing the dish away. "I don't want something that's just like Gusu food. I want the real thing. From Gusu."

Lan Xichen blinked, taken aback. "But, Wanyin. It's midnight."

Jiang Cheng's scowl deepened, and he pinned a stubborn glare on Lan Xichen. "I'm craving food from Gusu, not some imitation."

Nie Huaisang and Wei Wuxian laughed loudly.

Wei Wuxian, "Cheng Cheng, your pregnancy cravings are even worse than mine." He burst into another fit of laughter.
