Three Weeks Later

"So, if you would just sign here everything will be all set," I said with a tired smile towards the customer. I watched on as he grabbed the pen and scribbled down his signature before flashing me a bright smile before setting the pen back down.

"Thank you so much, my wife is gonna absolutely love this!" he exclaimed. I had just helped him pick out a 10 karat diamond necklace that he said he was getting for his wife's birthday. It took damn there 30 minutes just for him to choose if he wanted to get her a bracelet, necklace, or a pair of earrings before he finally decided on getting the necklace.

Then it took almost three hours for him to choose the right look and the correct amount of diamonds he wanted on the necklace. Every time he chose what he thought was the right one soon turned out to be not good enough, and we were back to square one. This man was way too indecisive for me to handle.

The joys of working in a jewelry store.

And to add another factor to my stress, Trey had been working every one of my last nerves, and now I'm starting to really question what's going on with him. Adrienne mentioning him cheating kept creeping up to the front of my mind, but I won't push that issue until he really starts giving me reasons to do so. It's just that for the last month and a half, he hasn't been his normal goofy and loving self. Instead, he's been real snappy and cold, it's like he's isolated himself from everybody.

He did, however, ask me about that hole in the wall, completely oblivious to the fact that he did it. Even when I told him that he punched the wall, creating that hole, he just laughed it off like I was joking around and saying that I was crazy. Him not even remotely remembering that honestly mind boggled me. I didn't know what his problem was, or what he was going through, but he refused to tell me whenever I asked him.

"You're welcome, I'm glad that I could be such a great help Mr. Williamson," I said as he sent me a nod with that large smile still plastered on his face as he happily walked out of the store.

Blowing out a large breath, I walked away from the display table and towards the back allowing the other employees to take over.

"Finally done?" Jaida asked with a smirk when I finally made it to the back room. Rolling my eyes at her, I grabbed a water from the mini-fridge that resided in there before sitting next to her.

"Leave me alone," I mumbled, while she just laughed in my face, "you ain't shit for leaving me to deal with that man alone."

"Hey, I dealt with him last week, it was only fair that you did this time." Sadly, this wasn't the first time that Mr. Williamson has come here. I say sadly because like I said earlier, he was the most indecisive man you could ever meet. He comes here at least fives times out of the month, and every time he came here it was for his wife and she was only half of his age which was fifty-two. On the bright side he always paid a lot, so I wasn't complaint entirely too much.

"Whatever. What are you doing after this?" I questioned.

"Probably visit my mom, it's been a few days since the last time I went to go see her. Wanna come."

"Maybe another time, I gotta go see what Trey is up to because I haven't heard from him all day." I said watching as she rolled her eyes. She couldn't stand him for some odd reason. Every time they were around each other, they were at each others necks. Sometimes it's amusing, other times it's annoying as all hell. Mostly annoying.
