Trey

"Do you have bipolar disorder?"

The question rang a few times in my head as I remained still in our bed, not moving a muscle. Clenching my jaw a couple times, I debated on whether or not I should respond to her question or act like I didn't even hear her.

The latter seemed like the best solution for me at present, but I knew deep down she wouldn't leave this topic alone. No matter how much I could care less about having what I knew would be a long ass conversation.

Why couldn't she just mind her damn business?

"Trey?" Morgan called out, snapping me out of my thoughts.

Sighing heavily, I sat up and leaned back against our headboard. Looking over at her, I studied her worrisome face that I could tell was growing irritated.

She wouldn't have had anything to be annoyed or worried about had she been snooping around my damn office. Searching for shit she had no business looking for in the first place.

She thought she was slick, but I was always two steps ahead of everything. I knew she had found my old Lithium prescription and that's why she asked me this ridiculous ass question.

Much to her dismay though, she wasn't gon' get all the answers she was looking for.

Times like this I ain't feel bad for cheating on her ass.

"Are you gonna answer me or are you gonna keep looking at me like I got two heads?" She questioned, breaking me from my thoughts yet again.

"You've always had a slick ass mouth man." I chuckled lightly making her roll her eyes, before huffing loudly, "What was it you asked me again, baby?"

Shaking her head lightly, she took another deep breath, "I asked if you were bipolar?" She repeated, looking at me intensely as she awaited a response.

Morgan

"Where would you get a question like that from, babe?" He questioned.

"Well, it could be the fact that both your attitude and behavior has been ridiculously indescribable lately."

"I've just been a little stressed out lately and coping with it in a different way I guess." He shrugged nonchalantly, "that makes me bipolar?"

A little stressed? Okay

Ignoring that statement for now, I continued on at the subject at hand.

"No, not necessarily, but, remember that you found me in your office?" I asked, watching him nod, waiting for me to continue.

"Well, while I was in there, I came across a prescription in your name called Lithium." At the mention of that word, he averted eye contact with me and stared straight ahead at seemingly nothing.

"Lithium, huh?" He inquired after a few minutes passed by.

"Yeah, I got curious and looked it up, and saw that it's basically a mood stabilizer. Primarily bipolar disorder."

"So, when I asked you what you were doing in my office that night, you lied." He stated with raising his eyebrows, "I knew it was bullshit because you barely go in there in the first place. You know how I feel about sneaky shit like that!"

"Sneaky shit? Says the man that's been playing disappearing acts for the last month, and then coming back home like everything's cool. Not calling or responding to my calls and messages. I can't even get a fucking text just letting me know you're at least alive!" I snapped. This man had some damn nerve, "let's not even mention the fact that I have known you for nearly 8 years and never even knew that you were taking medication in the first place."
