*covers face* do you guys hate me yet?

I'm so so sorry for this overly long wait, but these last few months have been terrible. But, I'm in a much better place now.

The chapters still may be a little slow because I'm crazy busy with school, but I have a week off so hopefully part 2 will be out before the week is out (don't quote me).

A day late, but I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and I also hope you enjoy this chapter for those that are even still here for this.

Side note: I changed Morgan's character.

It's now been a whole 24 hours since I found out about Trey's condition. All I could think about was how long has he had it and how long was he planning on keeping it from me or if he ever planned on telling me at all.

And because of this, I have been somewhat avoiding him. It wasn't hard because he's barely been home. Between yesterday and today, I've only seen him maybe twice? If that.

"Hey, mom. How you been?" I smiled at her through the phone. Its been awhile since I last spoke to my mother; two weeks to be exact. And after all that I have been through this past month, I needed a distraction.

"Hey sweetie, I've been good. How's LA been treating you?"

"Not too bad. It's starting to get somewhat warm out, still a little breezy, but warm nonetheless." I shrugged, chuckling lightly. It was only the beginning of March, but the weather was tolerable.

"Must be nice. It's freezing over here," she said rolling her eyes, forcing a laugh from me, "how's work going?"

"Work is work," I sighed, "things have calmed down some now that the holidays are over."

"That's good, now where's my son-in-law?" she asked, this time it was my turn to roll my eyes as I sighed tiredly. She loved Trey to death. She would always refer to him as he son-in-law even though we're nowhere near close to getting married.

"He's somewhere doing something, I guess." I mumbled, shrugging my shoulders.

"What's going on?" she asked in a knowing tone. Instead of telling her, I opted out until I fully got a grasp on what was currently happening myself.

"Nothing's going on, mom." I lied.

"Camille.." she trailed off, calling me by my middle name.

"Seriously, nothing is going on."

"Okay, okay. I'll leave it alone."

"Anyways. How's everything going with you?" I questioned, changing the topic of conversation.

"Oh, same ol' same ol'."

"Mm. How's Jace? You spoke to him lately?" I asked referring to my older brother, Jaceon.

"He's doing good. You would know if you called him." she said, making me inwardly roll my eyes.

"So he can chastise me again about being with Trey? No thank you." Jace, much like Jaida, didn't like Trey. His reasoning being that he didn't find Trey to be, and I quote, good enough for me.

The feeling was mutual on Trey's end, too. There had been a few times where they would make little slick remarks to each other and share ugly stares, but that was as far as it would go, thankfully. So, now they just tolerate each other for the sake of me.
