Aurelie walked into the Reynolds household, greeted by the familiar scent of freshly baked cookies and the sound of laughter echoing from the living room.

The Reynolds home always felt like a second home to her, a place where she could just be herself.

As she entered the living room, she saw Ellie sprawled out on the couch, flipping through a magazine, while Scarlett was tapping away on her phone, likely coordinating their next weekend plans.
Aurelie grinned as she grabbed a cookie from the plate on the coffee table and plopped down beside them.

"Hey, Aurelie!" Ellie greeted with a grin. "You're just in time. We were discussing some interesting developments."

Aurelie raised an eyebrow, nibbling on her cookie. "Oh really? Do tell."

Scarlett leaned in, a smirk on her lips. "So, apparently, Mason has a crush on Ellie."

Ellie rolled her eyes, though a hint of pink dusted her cheeks. "You guys, he's just being friendly."

Aurelie nudged her playfully. "Friendly, huh? Come on, Ellie, we all know he's totally into you. He's always watching you whenever we're all together."

Scarlett nodded. "Exactly. Mason's definitely crushing on you, Ellie. You should totally see where it goes."

Ellie sighed, a small smile tugging at her lips. "You're both blowing this way out of proportion. But... maybe I should give it a shot."

"Absolutely!" Aurelie said, her voice full of support. "Mason's a good guy. And you never know where it might lead."

Scarlett grinned, leaning back. "Look at us, talking about boys like we're in some teen drama. Who would've thought?"

Aurelie laughed, feeling the lightness of the moment. "Well, you have your men, and I have mine," she said with a mock-dramatic flair.

Ellie and Scarlett burst into giggles. "Oh really, Aurelie? And who might that be? Walker Scobell, perhaps?" Ellie teased, wiggling her eyebrows.

Before Aurelie could respond, Ryan Reynolds strolled into the room, his trademark grin already in place. "Did I hear Walker's name? I thought I did," he teased, plopping down in an armchair across from the girls.

Aurelie immediately felt her cheeks warm. "Ugh fuck off Ryan "

Ryan chuckled, clearly enjoying her discomfort. "Woah woah woah hold your horses you little shit "

Ellie smirked, chiming in, "Dad, we were just talking about how Walker and Aurelie are such good 'friends.'"

Ryan leaned forward, his grin widening. "Ah, yes, Walker. He's a great kid, and quite the actor too. You know, Aurelie, he couldn't stop talking about you "

Aurelie felt like her face was on fire. "We're just friends, Ryan," she said, trying to keep her voice steady.

Ryan leaned back, giving her a knowing look. "Uh-huh. Just friends. Well, if you ever need advice on dealing with young Hollywood heartthrobs, you know where to find me."

Ellie and Scarlett burst into laughter, and Aurelie couldn't help but join in, even as she wished the ground would swallow her whole.

"Fuck off old man ," she said with a smile, trying to brush off the embarrassment. "But hey I'll keep it in mind "

Ryan winked at her before standing up. "You do that, Aurelie. Now, I'll leave you girls to your very important gossip session. And remember, you're always welcome here, no matter what's going on in your love life."

As Ryan left the room, Scarlett and Ellie dissolved into laughter again, and Aurelie couldn't help but shake her head with a grin. Life with her friends was never dull, that was for sure.
