“The pink lily.” I asked the shopkeeper as she nodded. “Yes, sure.” I nodded at her response and looked around the flower shop. The sweet smell of flowers filling my lungs. The place looks colorful—and I guess I am the only one who appears to be odd here.
I always collect the flowers from here, the owner here doesn't talk much which is why this place turned out to be my favorite shop out of all who kept on asking if I am getting flowers for my girlfriend or my wife. Or to share how I was doing.
I really never answered anyone because I don't believe in speaking unnecessarily. “Here.” I collected the flower bouquet, paid the old lady and walked out of the shop.
Keeping the bouquet on the passenger seat, I pushed the engine and accelerated the car. I do this once every month, getting the same pink lily and visiting her but this time it's my second visit to her. It's not like I go there with all my men..it's just I go alone and sit there, sometimes we do talk a bit, but today it's different.
After the threat, Liam and Luca have been cautious about every single thing and even though I walked outside alone, I can challenge them by looking at me from some corner.
My phone rings and I connect it with the car.
Me: Yes?
Killian: Boss, she is with her friends.
Me: Okay, anything that I should know?
Killian: Nothing Boss.
I nodded and hung up. Killian has been hiding things and since it might cause problems to Ranvi, I had to take extra care. Nope, Killian would never betray me—He has been living with me for a long time, and he is more like a friend to me, so I can trust him but considering how he has been hiding things from me is an issue that demands to be resolved.
The place isn't too far from the shop, it merely takes a ten minute drive to reach. Once I reached the cemetery, I slid out of my car grabbing the pink Lilies—which were Sia’s favourite and kept it on the seat before unbuttoning my coat.
“You don't need to hide, come here.” I said, brushing off the non-existing dust from my coat as my two trustworthy men walked outside in casual.
They bow their heads as Luca speaks. “Boss, I can explain—” I cut him off.
“I don't need your explanation. When I ask you to put a halt to your action, you accept my command without any further questions.” They lowered their heads while I dropped my coat on the seat.
“Your life's in danger, Boss. We can't leave you without any security.” This time it's Liam who said.
“It's always Danger, Liam. We are already playing with fire.” I started fixing the flowers.
