Date night

The news broke out about the capture of the serial rapist and Tails called Sonic about it. He was horrified when sonic told him what happened and was relieved Knuckles was there. After that phone call Knuckles told sonic he wanted to go back to Green hill for a couple of weeks and get away from Reno and that he missed everyone. Sonic smiled and nodded excited to head home because he was missing everyone as well. Amy was excited when sonic called about them coming back for a visit and decided to throw a get together party. Shadow and Silver were a bit hesitant but it was time they all talked in person. Knuckles did pay for their dream wedding after all and it so happens to be the following week of the two week trip. Silver calls knuckles and asked mid he could extend the visit to three weeks so they could come and knuckles happily agreed.
Knuckles heads down to talk to Chet about his plans. Chet was more than happy to make sure knuckles place was up kept while he was gone and to have security guarding the room. Sonic was packing their bags and other things to take home. Knuckles gets back and sees sonic got everything packed and the plane tickets bought. "Wow" he said. "Hey being an assistant really got me in a good habit of getting stuff done and organized."  Sonic said. "Well when does our flight leave?" Knuckles asked. "Well I know you prefer the night flights so our flight is tomorrow night at 10pm." He smiled. "Sounds perfect to me." Knuckles smiled and sonic continues to put the bags down. Knuckles looks at sonic as he fixed the sheets on the bed and walks up to him. "Hey.... How about we go out tonight. Out of the casino and go to a nice restaurant." He said and sonic smiled. "That... actually would be nice. Know any good places?" Sonic asked with a blush. "I do and it has a beautiful view of the city. I only gone by myself to reflect the day a few times." He said. "So you never took anyone else?" "No you will be the first." Knuckles said and sonic felt special. "What should I wear?" He asked. A nice shirt, nice pants, blazer is optional and nice shoes. Is the dress code for the place. "Sounds nice ok" his kissed the red one's cheek and walked away to get ready.

Sonic stood outside of the casino entrance waiting for knuckles to get the car. He was in a nice grey button down shirt with a black blazer and his quills slicked back. He felt a little nervous but excited to go one a date outside of the casino. He heard an engine roar and saw a black Lamborghini pulling up. "Damn that's a nice car." He thought as the driver side door opens. To his shock it was knuckles driving it. "You like?" He asked. "Ummm hell fucking ya! I didn't know you owned a lambo!" Sonic said walking up. "I'm full of surprises blue. Now hop in." He said and Sonic didn't hesitate getting in the car. They drove off into the city and sonic was enjoying the ride through town. Once they arrived knuckles was greeted by the owner. "Knuckles! Welcome back I haven't seen you in a while. The usual table for one?" She said. "Actually table for two." He said and she sees Sonic. "I will get right on that" she smiled and walks away. She talks to the host who nods and walks up to the couple. "Right this way." He said and they follow him. The host lead them to the outside balcony area where there was only one table set up. Sonic was taken back by the view of the city as he took his seat. "You were right this is really beautiful." He said. "Told you" knuckles smirked. They order their drinks and appetizers before the waiter left them alone. They take in the view of the city until the waiter returned with their drinks. Sonic could see something was troubling knuckles in his eyes. "Knux what's wrong?" He asked. "Just thinking..... about when I came here.... How I started...." Knuckles said and tells sonic his story. Sonic sees the regret and pain in his eyes as he told him everything. Sonic reaches and took the echidnas hand making him look up at him. "What's important is that you're atoning for what you done. Fighting the demon your anger let loose. You're back to being yourself and now you're an amazing successful gambler." He said and knuckles smiled. "That is true.... Thank you Sonic." He smiled. "Always red" Sonic replied. "Always."
The rest of date went smoothly for the two. They talked, laughed, enjoyed the drinks and food, and enjoyed the view. After the bill was paid and they leave the restaurant Knuckles gave sonic the keys to the Lamborghini. Sonic was excited to drive the car and they had a good time driving around. Once they did return to the casino penthouse sonic kissed knuckles good night. "I had a good time tonight. Maybe we can do this again once we get to green hill." He said. "Yeah go to our old spots." Knuckles replied. "Exactly" Sonic smiled and heads to his room yet knuckles stops him. "Can you sleep next to me...." Knuckles asked. "Of course" sonic smiled but he had a spark in his eyes. "After I lube up and you pound me~" he licked his lips. "You horny fuck~" knuckles growled and takes sonic to bed for a blissful couple of hours before falling asleep in each other's arms.

Unaware of the trouble that awaits them once they return to green hill city.
