First day

Sonic wakes up and his heart breaks realizing it wasn't a dream. "Knuckles.... I wasn't dreaming....." he thought and got up to take a quick shower before putting on his clothes. Sonic nods and makes himself some oatmeal and eggs but had some juice instead of coffee. "What are you doing if I may ask?" Sonic asked. "Work I may make my big money but I still have a job. Plus here." He slides him a file. "Read through these and give them to Chet." He said. "Yes sir..." sonic said. "Ok maybe there's still that caring side to him still in there..... I just need to keep this up." Sonic thought. He walks to Chet's office after reading the file which was his utilities contract and knuckles sighed it. Plus an envelope of money for the payment. Once he started walking back he ran into tails who apologized. "Tails buddy it's ok this might give me a chance to get him to warm back up to me and well..... fix things....hopefully." Sonic said. "I hope so I didn't like the look in his eyes..." Tails said worried. "I know buddy... but please trust me.... The knuckles we know is still in there deep down." He said and Tails nods. "I got to go I'll see ya you talk to you later..." sonic said leaving. Sonic's phone beeps and it was a message from knuckles giving him a list of things to do. "Ok let's do this." He said. "I got to show knux I really do want to make it up to him." Sonic thought as he went to his first stop. He picked up a nice outfit from the dry cleaners and then run to a restaurant preordering the food he listed for a delivery later tonight, then ran back to the casino picking up a macaroons and roses from the gift shop then finally went back to the penthouse. Sonic noticed how the items seemed connected then his heart broke when he realized it was for a date. "Put the roses in fridge and set the macaroons on the counter." Knuckles said. "So ummmm who are you expecting tonight. "Her name is Shade and I finally agreed to have her over for a date yet I know it's just going to end up in bed after we have dessert and wine. I feel nothing for her except sex." He said. Deep down sonic felt relief but still shocked how cold knuckles has gotten. "Now when she gets here stay in your room because she does get crazy jealous. So in other words make sure you got food." He said and Sonic nods. "Ok...." He said.

Later that night Sonic put everything together for knuckles while he got ready then grabbed his takeout. He starts walking to his room when knuckles stopped him. "Everything looks good.... Thanks...." He said and sonic saw the old knuckles in those violet eyes making him smile. "I knew he was in there...." He thought walking to his room.
As he finished eating while listening to shade and Knuckles talking. He could tell Knuckles was ready to get the date over with. Then silence before shade starts moaning.
