Three months later

It has been three months.

Three months since Aemma hugged her father last time. Three long months since their departure for Dragonstone. And Aemma has been alone for the most of it, even if her best friend and aunt in one person Helaena was tried to spend some time with her. It was not the same.

Now, that the 'Velaryon' boys were gone, Aemond was spending the most of the time in the massive library of what the Keep had, reading all about the old Valyria, Westeros before his great great great grandsire's conquest. But mostly, he was reading about dragons. He wanted, not needed, to know everything about them. To be ready when his time will come.

He hadn't been to the Dragon pit since the day of Aegon, Jacaerys and Lucerys's cruel joke on him. And he did not really care about the dragons in the Dragon pit anymore. He already knew that if he wanted the dragon he had to look out of the Dragon pit.

Aemma was sitting in her chambers, slowly working on her embroidery when a soft knock gained her attention and soon after, the door opened and Ser Criston who respectfully bowed to Velaryon princess, before speaking.

"My princess, his majesty, the King sent me to fetch you to the council chambers," He told her simply.

"Did something happen, Ser Criston?" Asked Aemma curiously as she placed her embroidery to the side and followed after the Dornish knight out of her chambers to the King.

"I don't know," Admitted Ser Criston.

"The Princess Aemma, your grace," Announced Ser Criston when they made their way into the small council chambers.

Since Rhaenyra's departure to Dragonstone, Aemma would often come in the council chambers to assist in the small council meetings as a cupbearer. Her grandsire had made clear that he wanted her to learn everything about ruling and it was clear that he wanted her to be Rhaenyra's heir, not Jacaerys.

But even with her time in the council chambers, she still had time to learn from her grandmother, the Queen. Who was shoving her the other side of being powerful and the face of the Seven Kingdoms. And it was not an easy task.

Aemma felt her heart getting heavier when she saw that he grandmother Alicent, her betrothed, aunt Helaena and uncle Aemond were already in there. Something had happened. Something bad.

"Children," Began his speech Viserys, "I'm afraid I won't share any good news with you today. The Lady Laena, wife of my brother, the Prince Daemon, has passed in childbirth."
