It has been a few days since this "Zuri" was introduced to us, but in our class the air is still tense with what I presume to be frustration, because I am definitely frustrated.

How dare someone else hold Lilith like that?! She is the only female I have ever met to be unsusceptible to my mind control and influence. She is immune to my charm it seems, and yet for some reason I find myself being attracted to her more and more...

I glance at Lilith, who has just walked into the building and taken a seat near the back as usual. I see the others gazing at her as well.

"Ok this has gone on long enough." the Headmaster says loudly, getting all our attention. "What is disturbing you all so much?"

We all remain in tense silence.

"Lilith?" the Headmaster asks, turning to her. "What is going on?"

We all return our gazes to Lilith in anticipation of her answer. I notice she looks paler and her eyes are slightly darker than usual.

"I assume they are so tense in regards to one of my friends who they have made the acquaintance of recently." Lilith says, 'hitting the nail on the head' so to speak. We all flinch.

"Is this true?" the Headmaster asks us. We all nod slowly. "Why would you all be so upset by just meeting one of Lilith's friends--wait."

He turns to face Lilith again. "That means that you met this friend of her's inside the barrier, which would mean that they are a teacher or a student...oh! It must be the new student, Zuri."

Lilith nods her head. "That is correct."

He turns to the rest of us again. "Why don't you like him? Did he say something to you guys?"

"He shouldn't be in high school with us." Koli says, the first of us to speak up.

The Headmaster looks surprised. "And why is that?"

"He's old enough to be our grandfather." Koli replies. The rest of us nod at his reasoning.

Lilith chuckles.

"Zuri has enrolled in Eden Academy as a student and he is learning in Class 2. I have no right to deny him an education, because he is here to learn." the Headmaster replies.

Silence ensues for a while, and the Headmaster seems to just regard all of us during that period before he sighs and speaks up. "Since for the past few days we've only been doing writing and other such courses, today we will have a physical class."

We all (with the exception of Lilith) immediately change into our training clothing. After a while of us all stretching on our own, the Headmaster calls out to Lilith, who has just been standing still.

"Lilith." He says, and walks over to where she is standing, probably so as to not disturb the rest of us. "Are you alright?"

Her eyes seem...bigger somehow. I notice while I gaze at her, listening to their conversation.

Lilith seems to take in what the Headmaster said for a moment before she slowly lifts a hand to her face and runs her fingers over her features. When she runs her fingers over her eyes her fingers seem to hesitate, and she removes her hand from her face to touch her back, as if feeling for something.

What? I wear the same expression of confusion as the Headmaster as we watch her actions.

Lilith is silent for a while before she responds to the Headmaster's question: "I will be fine. Thank you for your concern."
