Moran woke up to the unfamiliar high ceiling with dark woods and then she remembered what she just did with Khan.

Well, it had been an experience, if she might have said so, and she definitely would not mind a repeat performance.

She stretched her body and noticed that everything was already been cleaned, and she smiled at Khan’s thoughtfulness. She got up and saw that no one was around, so she collected her discarded clothes and walked out the room to find something to eat.

When she got out of the room, she heard commotion and laughter and she noticed that the voices came from downstairs so she took the stairs to go to where the sound originated from – and found 5 extraordinarily good looking guys chatting and eating around the table, including Khan.

The first to notice her was Khan himself, who smiled and waved at her.

“Moran, come and join us. We have Jaeha’s turn to cook today and he made a feast.” He moved a bit to give her a space beside him and Moran sat between him and Amon.

There were 2 other people that she had not met before, and they looked at her with curiosity in their eyes. They couldn’t believe that Khan – who was always snarky toward people other than them – could smile like that toward a woman that he just met.

How great was her Guiding power to make their overbearing Guild Leader and lifelong friend to become so friendly?

But then again, the people around him tried to get close to him because they wanted something from him, so they understood his sentiments exactly.

“This is Aslan and Touya, they are the other 2 EX ranked Gifted. Guys, this is Cheon Moran, our new EX ranked Guide.” Khan introduced her to his team mates and they nodded in acknowledgement.

“Moran, can you tell me about your food allergy and your favorite food? All of us take turns cooking, so please let us know beforehand.” Jaeha took a pot of bubbling soup with a whole chicken and herbs inside, and put it in front of Moran – who noticed that everyone had one already.

“This is Korean Ginseng Chicken soup, or what we call Samgye-tang. It’s highly nutritious and I added some secret ingredients to boost stamina and vitality.” Jaeha winked at her and she chuckled.

The man was so different from the one she met earlier.

This Jaeha looked more relaxed and friendly with his casual wear of jeans and t-shirt instead of the suit he wore before, and she noticed that the overall atmosphere was really good – especially Khan, who looked like he was relaxing while eating and drinking with his friends.

“Thank you, Jaeha.” She took the prepared chopsticks and spoon and tasted the broth – and whistled.

“Wow, this is so good! I’ve never eaten something this good before!” She took a piece of the chicken and the sticky rice inside and moaned when she ate them together with the rich broth nonstop until it was finished in a record time.

She burped loudly when she realized that the others were looking at her with various emotions on their faces.

“Do you want more?” Jaeha smiled at her, but Moran was already full so she declined.

“Thanks but maybe next time, I’m already full.”

She could hear Khan choking and holding back his laughter – as did the others, but she didn’t give a shit. She had never tasted something this delicious although she had eaten many Samgye-tang before.

“I’ve eaten many different Samgye-tang before, but none tasted as good as this. May I know what’s your secret?” She asked Jaeha directly.

“Ah well…” Jaeha grinned and cleared his throat while the others turned their faces away to hide their smile. “The broth was actually made from monster’s bones and various body parts – courtesy of Aslan here – while we got the chicken from ARK Group. They cultivate their chicken and other animals inside the dungeon – which is rich with mana – so their meat tastes a lot better than the commercial ones.”

Oh wow.

Moran could not believe her ears.

Cultivating farms inside the dungeon? That would take a lot of resources. And with the high risk of monsters inside the dungeon? Probably only the industry giant like ARK Group.

But the taste was worth it – although she knew that it must be expensive.

“My lifelong dream is to open my own bar with good food, so if possible, can you teach me how to cook? And if possible, I want to visit this ARK dungeon farm too.”

Jaeha looked at Khan – who nodded – and he took out the contract before he put it down in front of Moran.

“Absolutely. But before we go further, why don’t we finish the business aspect first? Here is the contract for you, Moran. We offer you 500 million as a sign up bonus, and an annual salary of 100 million with yearly raise – not including bonus, housing, living cost, and everything else – for 10 years. Meanwhile, you will also be provided a 24/7 bodyguard to stay with you at all times for your safety. Please review the contract and tell us if you want anything else to be added.”

Moran was surprised when she heard the amount for the sign up, and even more surprised to hear her generous salary. To have that kind of money, she had to kill at least 20 people, and now she got paid yearly by that amount, and everything else was also being paid by the Guild.

Was this how the Gifted live?

Well, she did not have a complaint especially with the 24/7 bodyguard clause since she never knew when the assassins would start to target her back again when they found out that she was still alive – except for 1 thing.

“Yes, I do want to have a condition added.” She looked around her and observed their reaction. “I want to join you guys when you go into the dungeon.”

She noticed right away when the boys’ jaws dropped from the shock, and wondered if she said something wrong.

She just wanted to know the inside of the dungeon since she only read from the magazines that they could find amazing herbs and strange plants and monsters inside that would be great for her future culinary endeavors. And besides, she had nothing to worry about since she had that big ass magic gun in her inventory.

“Is there something wrong?” She tilted her head in question, and Jaeha was the first to recover and cleared his throat.

“No, no, it’s because… there has never been a Guide who wanted to go inside the dungeon, because it’s dangerous especially if you don’t have any skill.”

“It’s fine, Jaeha, we can teach her the basics first. Besides, she will need to be able to defend herself in case something happens.” Khan interrupted and he smiled at Moran. “We will add the condition to your contract, and we will also train you so that your chance of surviving is not zero. After all, this is the first time I’ve taken a liking to a Guide, so I hope you will stay with us for a very long time.”
