The next morning Jasmin felt groggy and cranky. She didn't want to get out of bed. All she wanted to do was sleep.
"It's summer break, so I don't need to get up!", literally any other kid would think, but Jasmin's parents were like robots. They did the same thing every morning. Wake up, shower, make breakfast, serve breakfast, go to work.
Although her parents hadn't started work just yet because they just came to a new town, so they changed it a little. Everything they did in the morning ended up an hour later. Which Jasmin loved, but it was still early and she didn't want to get her parents mad by eating breakfast late.
She played games on her phone while still in bed.

Jasmin later got up out of bed. She brushed her teeth and slumped down the steps. It was around 8:30 A.M, so she knew her mom was cooking breakfast.
She could smell the french toast and scrambled eggs. Jasmin sat in the dining room, glued to her phone while she waited for the food.
It was dead silent. All you could hear was the music on the old radio faintly. It kept breaking up, but no one seemed to mind. She then ate breakfast and walked upstairs to her room to stretch. Jasmin needed to stay in 'shape' because her new classes started tomorrow.
All she wanted to do was to stay home, so that's what she did. The day was boring and quiet. It was raining all day long. She called and texted her friends.

She missed her friends, home, school, and the dance studio she went to.
She loved her life and didn't want anything to change, but was happy to dance again. Jasmin went to her bed and tried to sleep. She couldn't because she was too excited to start dance classes.
All she wanted to do was dance. Jasmin felt like that's what she was made for. She couldn't think of anything she would do if she couldn't dance. Jasmin got a notification, it was around 12 in the morning. She glanced at her phone and it was her best friend, Anya.
"I can't sleep!!!", the text revealed once she opened the messages.
"SAME wanna call?",
"Yeah but we have to be quiet"
"OK,"
The two of them called, but fell asleep while on call. Jasmin woke up in the middle of the night and heard something. She heard people talking.

She used the flashlight on her phone to see. She heard the talking from her parents room. Which was strange because it was around 3 A.M.
It sounded like arguing, but she could only make out a few sentences. "This will take too long," she heard. "She needs to be gone now!" "It can't be too obvious", she started to think they were getting rid of her cat, Lily. She ran back to her room when she heard the voices getting louder.
She went back to bed but this time with her cat because she wanted to be with her as much as possible. She didn't want her cat to go. "I don't understand, please stay with me, Lily" she said on the verge of tears. Jasmin loved Lily. Her cat was 9 years old. She had Lily almost her entire life. Jasmin fell asleep crying, hugging her cat.
