Chapter 5 "Day 4 1/2"

While waiting for their parents to arrive she talked with one of her dance partners. She had the prettiest curls Jasmin has ever seen. Not to mention sky blue irises. "Hi, my name's Aurora!" the girl said smiling. She spoke with a slight lisp. "I'm Jasmin, pretty name.." Jasmin said quietly. They talked for a little then Aurora said something that caught Jasmin's attention. "I tried telling my parents this, but I got in trouble for lying, but I've been seeing things in the woods something.. terrifying.." She said almost in a whisper. Jasmin was wide eyed and interested. "..like what..?" Jasmin whispered, a little nervous.

"Don't call me crazy, but creatures.. and this place is so off, I don't have a good feeling about this town nor dance studio." Aurora said whispering, worried that someone will hear her. Jasmin's eyes grew wider, she thought that she was just seeing things, but this was scarier than she figured. "I-I..." Jasmin stuttered over her words. Her head was a mess. "I knew it, you don't believe me either." Aurora said, looking down while crossing her arms. "W-Wait no! That's not what it is at all. I've.. I've been seeing the same things as you.. And I feel the same way about this place. But I couldn't leave even if I wanted to, my parents aren't the type to let things slide." Jasmin said a bit louder than intended.

Aurora's parents entered the studio. "Here's my number, we can talk about this later; I have to go, cya!" Aurora said, typing in her number on Jasmin's phone. She waved bye and left with her parents. A little after that her parents arrived to pick her up. The entire car ride 'home' she was quiet. It wasn't like her to be quiet and on her phone during rcar rides. Jasmin was always so cheery and singing to the songs on the radio. But not this ride. Her parents knew something was wrong, so they tried making small talk with her, but Jasmin was giving short answers. Just like her parents the car ride to the town. When they got home she went straight to her room to text Aurora.

Jasmin started to text the number Aurora gave her.
"HI! Its Jasmin is this Aurora??"
It took a couple of minutes for Aurora to reply but when she did it gave shivers to her spine
"Yea it's Aurora but Im scared I think my parents know about the creatures I need help!!"
"WDYM?"
"I got yelled at when I tried telling them abt it again then I just overheard them saying that Im catching on!"
Jasmin just stared at the message, confused, scared, and overwhelmed. Then started to type again.
"Call me."
They called and Aurora started to freak out, but Jasmin tried to tell her that maybe she was hearing things wrong and there was no reason for them to do that. Aurora started to calm down a bit and gaslit herself that she was hearing things. "If anything, call the cops; your safety comes first" Jasmin said, trying to seem calm when in the inside she was freaking out just as much as Aurora was. After a little they ended the call. She tried to go to bed but kept thinking about her and those creatures.
