Day 1,155

Dear Mae,

Today I had a bad day. I know I promised I wouldn't fall in love with anyone else but there is this girl I like. She is very pretty, although we don't talk anymore I still think about her a lot. Her name is Nova.

I met her a month ago, she reminded me so much of you. How her eyes followed her cheeks and when she laughed at my jokes her lips would curve perfectly. She even said something that reminded me of what you once said.

"We should go to the beach."

I remember that day we went to the beach and I saw your mother. Your mother was so beautiful just like you and when I went to your house on mother's day I gave her flowers. I always wondered where your beauty came from until I met her.

I remember when we danced as we star gazed and there were shooting stars. Now that I see shooting stars I wonder is that you.

I wish upon the stars that I can see you again one more time.

I stood up from my desk and headed downstairs to see Matt and Nick. I overheard a conversation.

"Nova asked about Chris the other day. Leila told me."

"I hope they eventually figure everything out. Maybe if she hears his side she'll understand."

"I hope so. I talked to Nova the other day and she said she missed him."

"That breaks my heart oh my god"

I take more steps and come around the corner.
"Hey Matt." I say with a low tone voice tryna hide my excitement. Nova was thinking about me? Not that I wasn't thinking about her but the thought made me happy. A lot.

"Oh Hey Chris. We were just going to head out. You wanna come?" I smile "Were you guys talking about me?" I knew the truth but I wanted to see what they would say. "Yeah..but you'll be happy if I tell you." Nick laughs. "I heard you two already." I blurt out causing Matt to laugh. "Okay kids what do you all want to eat?" Nick asks Matt and I. "In and Out!!"
He nods and grabs the keys "let's go." Me and Nick follow behind him.

"This burger is fucking amazinggggg" Matt starts laughing "it can't be that good." I giggle taking a drink of pepsi. "Also Chris we are meeting up with the girls later... they are coming over tonight."

Holy shit again..?

"If me and him see eye to eye I'll just ignore him." I fidget with my fingers. "You'll give in eventually Nova." Leila giggles.

I have to come face to face Chris...again? Oh my god.

"What if it is a lot of drama.." I look down and eventually feeling a hand "All you have to do is listen..not speak Nova. Maybe you'll understand. I know everything but it's not for me to tell you. You have to listen yourself." I smile at her words and nod. "Thank you Leila."

We drive down the highway to head to the triplets house. I should try to avoid Chris if I don't want to argue but arguing is better than not speaking at all. I want to at least understand because after all I still care for him. It was worth trying..right?
