I was sitting on my bed wondering why hasn't Leila texted me yet. I called her, texted her and she hasn't responded. Was she nervous of what happened between us or was she avoiding me completely. It was almost time for us to pick the girls up to shoot the video but I couldn't help but shake off this feeling that something was wrong.
"Matt you ready to go" I nod "Yeah.. Nick do you think Leila is avoiding me?" He shrugs "I don't know talk to her Matt." I slump my shoulders and start heading towards the door. "Chris we getting ready to go!!!" I hear Chris running downstairs "Slow down.. don't break your neck." Nick says making me laugh.
We get into the car and Nick sits in the front grabbing the aux. "Kid what are you doing?" I ask him "Can I please get the aux this one time" I roll my eyes and see Chris get in the back. I pull out of the driveway and car fills up with music.

We all sing along to the lyrics eventually getting to the destination. I park seeing Leila and Nova.
We get out the car heading to them. Leila walks past me to hug Nick. What.The.Actual.Fuck? —————————————————————

"Girl I'll just avoid him completely and reject those eyes. I don't wanna catch feelings for someone I can't have." Leila shrugs while facing Nova "Try not avoid those feelings too much Leila. It'll seem like you're playing him" Nova admits and laughs "It's just the fanbase.. they can be scary sometimes. As much as I want to be with Matt, I can't even if I want to." Leila sighs. ————————————————————

Across from me was Matt, he was standing less than 10 feet away from me and I didn't say a word.
"Nick I'm gonna head to the bathroom to change really quick." Nick nods and points to the direction of the bathrooms. I grab my changing clothes and head to the bathroom and locking the door behind me.
When I'm done I spot Matt who is face to face with me in the hallway.
He grabs my waist slowing pulling me in "Why are avoiding me Lei?" He tilts his head looking down at me. I stayed silent, my heart was loud enough for anyone to hear, he made me so anxious. I smile at him. "Why do you care?" His eyes softened "I care about you Lei."
We hear a cough in the distance. "We're setting up the camera by the way lovebirds" Nick giggles. I smile at Matt and grab his wrist guiding him back to the front of the house. ————————————————————

My hands were shaking. I never been in a youtube video like this before. I feel as my hands were gradually shaking, but suddenly I feel a hand. A familiar hand.
"You okay Nova?" Chris asks me causing me to calm down a little bit. "I'm gonna get some fresh air after this." Nick nods and puts his hand on my shoulder. "I can cut the camera for you." Matt looks at me and I nod. After the camera cuts I go outside getting some air as tears flowed down my cheek. All I could do was think of my dad.

"Dad can I get a pony for my birthday?" She jump into his arms hugging him tight "Yes my darling of course." He kisses her forehead ruffling her hair.
"Rohan let's go outside!!" She says to her older brother, he bends down and smiles "How about we stay inside and watch My Little Pony? it's getting late." She nods and runs to the couch. "Dad, when I get older can we go to the zoo and look at the ponies?" Her dad giggles at her and says, "Anything for you my princess." He picks her up causing her to smile.

I miss my dad more than anything, I would trade anything to have those moments again. Being a little girl running in the field made a lot more sense than anything. I know how to fake a smile but with my dad I knew what happiness was, what it felt like to be loved.
"Nova?" Nick bends down as he sees my tears, tears continuously form causing me to break down even more.
"Nova. It's alright.." Chris hugs me pulling me into his chest while running his fingers gently through my hair. "It's alright.. I'm here okay?" I couldn't help but feel safe in his arms, a serene warmth washed over me causing me to eventually calm down and look at him.
"You okay sweetie?" Chris held my face in his hands and looked at me. "Y-yeah" I sniff softly. "You wanna go in the house?" I nod and he takes my hand and walks me inside, placing me on the couch. I feel warm sheets come over me and he sets a pillow behind me eventually causing me to drift off to sleep. ————————————————————
✥𝚌𝚑𝚛𝚒𝚜'𝚜 𝙿𝙾𝚅✥ ---------------------------------
It came clear to me that I looked for someone in someone else's eyes. Looking at Nova was like looking at the person I once loved. Nova was someone I had to protect her just like I would've if it was Mae.
I ran my hands through her silky hair and made sure she was comfortable. "Chris? Is she okay" Leila bent down to look at her and slowly rubbed her shoulders. I nod "She's okay. Doesn't she look so pretty" Leila laughs "You make it so obvious Chris oh my lord" she shakes her head standing up. ————————————
