MAEVE ROGERS
It's been five months, they've crossed my mind at least three times a week, I'm trying to avoid those thoughts.

I started working out, on myself and my body, they fed me pasta like there's no tomorrow, I'm not waking up at night as much as I used to, only if I hear footsteps, or the wind moves the trees around.

Me and Milo decided to stay just friends, disappointing, I know, I was at his wedding, they weren't there, even though I know they were invited, stop thinking about them.

"He said, yeah, I'll walk you home, and shit, probably expected sex, I don't know, I wasn't in the mood anymore", I snorted, handing the woman her change.

"You said you're going out so you could get laid", I turned to Aria, who was now making a coffee, "I was, but just- I didn't want to go alone, what if he was a creep that involves in sex trafficking".

"You still gave him your number though", she placed to coffee in the cup, handing it to the woman with a smile, "he was hot, Maeve, don't you fucking blame me", I chuckled, turning to the costumer.

"Good morning, how can I help y-", there stood James, nothing covering his face, Lily in his arms, "I'd like a red velvet cake, black coffee, and uhh, what else would you like, darling".

"What are you doing here-".

"Strawberry milk!", she giggled as he showered her with kissed, turning to me again, "and a small iced strawberry milk, please", to be honest, I was wondering when he'd come here, he usually comes at the start of the month.

"That will be 15 dollars", he placed Lily down, taking out his wallet, handing me his card, a small note with it, I looked up at him, knowing it's from them.

I cleared my throat, taking his card, placing the note on the side, "have a good day", he took the card from me, picking up Lily again, "you as well"

A butterfly.

Gio's tattoo.

I looked around for James, but he just wasn't there, "this man has been coming here once a month, for the past five of them", I shrugged, acting as if I don't know him, "he's hot though", I laughed, cleaning the counter.

My dad walked through the door, a smile coming on my face, we got a lot more closer then I thought we will the past five months, "hello, love", he was wearing his coat, probably done working.

"Hey, do you want me to get you something before I'm off?".

"Uhh, no, thank you, we need to pick Angel on the way", I nodded, starting to take off my apron as I walked to the back to get my bag.

"See you tomorrow, Steve", he smiled, waving me because he was talking on the phone, my dad waiting outside in his car.

"Someone gave this to me this morning, said it's for you", he handed me an envelope, what else did they have to send me.

They sent me my phone back last month, I got that one dress they bought me, the ring, those shoes I was matching with Xavier that one time, and that stupid fucking collar, what else can they send?!.

"Oh, thanks", I took it from him, placing it in my bag, "aren't you gonna open it?", he asked, making me shrug, "I will at home, I don't think its so important", he hummed, turning back to the road.

I didn't tell him about the whole notes situation, I don't want to stress him out.

He stopped in front of Angel kindergarten, hopping out of the car, "I'll be right back, darling", I smiled, nodding, opening the envelope as soon as he was out of sight.
