MAEVE ROGERS
I was shaking, my whole body was shaking, Vince was standing right in front of me, ordering five cups of coffee, and some cupcakes, "excuse me, ma'am?", I snapped out of my trance, taking his card.

"Your coffee would wait for you over there", I smiled softly, gulping, "thank you", he smiled back, walking over to the counter.

I looked around the cafe, looking if there is anyone else there, seeing Romeo sitting outside, doing something on his phone, they're here, they are all here.

I took in a deep breath, closing my eyes, trying to calm myself down, I don't want to go back, "Mae, is everything okay?", I flinched as Aria placed her hand on my back, "I think you should get off, you seem pale, and sick, I don't think you should stay here, love".

I sniffled, taking another deep breath in, "go talk to Steve, I'll cover for you".

"Are you sure, I'm okay I prom-", she shook her head, cupping my head in her hands, "go talk to Steve, then go to your father's clinic, I'lI call Nick if needed, okay?", I sighed, interlocking our fingers.

Nick is another worker here, at the moment it's me, Aria and Layla, who's in the kitchen now, but she's also at the counter sometimes.

Aria smiled softly at me, kissing my cheek, "thank you Aria, really", I kissed her cheek as well, going to Steve's office, "oh hey, Maeve, is everything okay?".

Steve is a sweet person, he knows how to treat his workers, yes, he is tough sometimes, but he is being as caring and understanding as he can.

"Umm, I'm not feeling so well, can I go home please?, Aria said she would cover for me, and will call Nick if needed to".

He furrowed his eyebrows, "you do seem a little pale, are you going to your father?", I nodded, "I think so, I don't have any other way to go home".

He smiled softly, "off you go, sweetie, text me how you're feeling during the day?", I smiled back, nodding again, "of course, thank you".

I grabbed my stuff, hugging Aria, noticing that they're not here anymore, you're better then what you were, you're stronger, you're not afraid of them.

I walked over to my dad's clinic, smiling at the receptionist, "he'll be out in a couple minutes, love", I thanked her, standing by my dad's door.

After a few, my dad came out of his room, a patient coming out with his mouth stuffed with cotton rolls, "be well, boy", my dad patted his back before he left, placing his hand on my back, guiding me inside the room.

"What's wrong, darling", I sat down on his chair before he cupped my cheeks, "I-I don't feel so well, I wanna go home, he hummed, kissing my forehead, "I only have one patient until I'm off, do you mind waiting?".

"Can I wait here?", he smiled softly, his thumb running against my cheek, "I'll get you a chair, but stay quiet, yeah?", I nodded slightly, smiling before I stood up and wrapped my arms around him, "my little girl", he kissed the top of my head, rubbing my back.

If only he knew that maybe soon I won't be with him again.

He left the room for a second, coming back with another chair, and a patient.

I stood up from my chair, sitting on the chair my dad got me, the patient laying down on that dentist chair as my dad put on gloves and a face mask.

I sat there quietly on my phone, texting Milo, who told me to update him if anything happens, unfortunately, he's on a honey moon, so he's not working, his father is in charge at the moment, and he's not aware of our situation.
