All the Rebel could do was watch as the Prince was pulled out of the room. It was much, much better than the alternative. They didn't want to think about what could have happened. All the pictures that plagued their mind minutes ago.

"Now go find a room to set up in. We have a lot of work if we are going to undo all the terrible things these monsters have done." The Rebel Leader said pointedly at the young Rebel standing beside her. She turned to the rest of the room.

"All right everyone show's over. Find a place to crash for the night before we start on the clean up." It was the early hours of the morning now. Much later then what the Rebel had thought this would all end. Now it was pretty much over. Everything they had been preparing for, all they waited for finally passed. Now they just had to deal with the after that they didn't want to talk about.

It should have felt like a relief. It didn't, the Rebel was still apprehensive about the whole thing. Maybe when the Prince was back in his room where he should be things would be ok. The Rebel walked down random halls with the whole picture playing in their head again. They cut is so close getting to the throne room.

They should have known where it was stopping there the couple times they went into the castle. They found themselves in front of the Princes door. Which was still open after they were taken hours earlier. Now they were sure they were going to be together for real. The past year was the getting to know you time.

They both agreed that they wouldn't say anything if nothing was going to happen. Especially when the very high chance of the royal ending up dead was on the line. Now maybe they could be an us. The Rebel walked in the room looking around for any damage. It was unexpected to find several bloody footprints.

Probably from the muscle men that came to get him. The Rebel smirked finding no other blood. Pacifist to the end. The Prince was against violence of any kind even if it was in self defense. The Rebel was able to convince the Prince to learn some protective moves to have something. Even when angry the Prince would never even raise his voice.

The Rebel tried to think of a time when they ever heard the Prince yell for anything. He would turn a lovely shade rose when you were getting on his nerves. What he didn't do in actions or volume he made up for in vocabulary. Turns out reading so many book would do that to a person. It was a one two sort of punch to the ego.

First he would make you feel stupid by speaking above your vocabulary. You would be confused about the meaning of the word but could get the implication. Then he would dumb it down so that a toddler could understand. It was so much worse then anything the Rebel had been hit with. It hit somewhere that took a lot more time and energy to heal.

After they had one of these fights it took two weeks for the Rebel to come back. The Rebel made sure to find a way to steer clear from that taking place again. It was the longest that the two stayed apart since they met. That was still the biggest fight they had ever had. Everything after being able to be classified as little disagreements.

There was usually something every week, nothing they couldn't work through. But with two souls coming from two very different places they are very much alike. The Rebel stood in the middle of the room they already spent so much time in. It felt so much more like home then the place they were staying in with their mother.

There was only one thing that was missing to make the room complete. That thing was sitting in the basement waiting for conditions of release. Conditions that the Rebel was determined to fix as soon as they were able to get an audience with their mother. They were ready to discuss it right away, but their mother was decidedly leaving the topic for the time.

There was no way the Rebel was sleeping right now. Not after their system was flooded with panic less then an hour before. They thought it would be a good idea to go check in with the Prince for the night. They didn't really talk about the what comes after if they both survive. They were able to find their way down the dungeon going through five guards.
