Whispers of the forgotten blooms

Oh how I wish to ask the flowers if I'm still the man your heart patiently blooms for.
And the moment when the sunshine wanders upon the colors that you wore.
But the season of blossom have passed to when the leaves will fall.
Then the aura shifted to a blue that brought forth a frost so dull.

Did I forget to water the flowers or did I forget to find some time.
Would the wind tell me secrets if your name pass my ear and chime.
You've been a sunflower growing through the dusk till dawn.
And the petals fell, your faith and hopes are gone.

When the season changes, my love remained the same.
Periods pass, moments last, yet my heart engraved a name.
Birds brought seeds to me yet the earth remained in death.
A mark to remember that pulled me to an endless depth.

I ask the moon for guidance across the barren seas of gray.
Wondering on this ship to come home, yet waves blessed me dismay.
The array of what I should have done for the clarity to be killed.
So the dreams of the certainty and clearance will later be fulfilled.
