Out of everything that Fitz expected to see at school, he did not expect to see a green-headed sulky Keefe sulking on a bench on his way to class.
"Keefe?" Fitz muttered his eyes wide and confusion vibrating through him.
Standing behind him, Gizel snorted. "More like broccoli head.
"I know." Keefe's eyes were downcast. It was strange seeing him down. He's usually jumping up and down making dumb remarks. Or even talking about that one guy. Peter Johnson? No... Pierce Jack.
Yes, Fitz was pretty sure that was his name.
Keefe then muttered, "Ro used so many elixirs, that I can't use the counter elixirs simultaneously to get rid of the green hair. She also gave me diarrhea... I got rid of that...."
Fitz laughed. "Can't you take it now?" Keefe glared at Fitz.
"I have to wait at least 12 hours... It's been 4 hours since I drank the... You know." Keefe muttered.
"The what?" Fitz asked with a cheeky grin.
"The diarrhea thingy." Keefe gritted out. Grizel huffed out a short laugh.
"Where's Ro?" she asked, looking around her eyes narrowed. "Did she leave? I thought she said she didn't want to go be 'princess'."
Keefe grinned, "I made her go back home and go get me a hat." Grizel raised an eyebrow.
"You're not worried she's going to mix something on to the hat." Keefe smirked his signature smirk,
"Grizel, Grizel, young naive Grizel." Keefe tutted.
"Don't call me that." Grizel muttered.
"I'm not gullible, and I know she's going to put something in that hat... So, I'm going to put it on her head."
"Put what in who's head." A female voice called out, "And why do you look like a broccoli." A giggle followed the sentence.
Sophie.
"That's what I said!" Grizel exclaimed, looking happy that someone got her humor.
Fitz never got Grizel's humor. After all she'd mutter something about being 'built different' and then start laughing."
What kind of joke is that? To Fitz it seemed offensive. Who would call someone they were build different?
"Nope! I can't do this. Close your eyes! Turn around! I don't care, just don't look at me! " Keefe cried, using his hands trying to cover the green mop on his head.
Which was not helping at all.
Sophie glanced at Keefe's hair her nose wrinkled. "Ro could have chosen a different shade of green. This one kind of clashes with your-" she trailed off.
"Never mind." her face was tinted a shade of pink, "I didn't say anything."
Fitz didn't know what she was about to say. But he had a feeling he wouldn't like what she was about to say.

"Keefe." A voice called, "I brought your... hat? It looks a bit like a cloud."
Fitz turned his head to the noise at the end of the hallway Ro was walking down. He heard Ro's footsteps, before he even saw her.
"Well," Sophie said, "she's here." A few minutes after she arrived, Sophie sat down on the bench that was about 5 feet away from Keefe's and laid down on it, and just talked to both Fitz and Keefe while staring at the ceiling.
Fitz didn't know what was so entertaining about that, but Sophie seemed to like it. Who was he to judge?
