Six months went by happily. Their life was just right. Ranvir’s family welcomed Sia with open arms. They often visited Maa on weekends. Sia and Ranvir were considered the ideal couple in their circle. Ranvir had a job he loved and Sia, the love of his life. Sia was living her dream in a small house with a husband who would sacrifice anything for her. She was living as she wished. Each evening, Ranvir set aside two hours for work and spent the rest with Sia. On weekends, they had fun together, watching movies or chatting. Some Sundays, they went to the beach or had panipuri. Everything was perfect.

Sia was lost in her thoughts when Ranvir appeared, offering her a steaming cup of tea. The sky darkened, hinting at an impending rain, a weather that Ranvir adored. With a playful grin, he teased her, “So  madam! Ab apke liye extra protection laani padegi. Nahi to meri khoobsurat sir mitti ki moorat baarish me pighal jayegi.” Sia’s lips curled into a smile as she replied, “Nahi. Tum ho na mere pass! Tumhare saath beh bhi kyu na jana pade manzoor hai vo mujhe.....” Ranvir gazed deeply into her eyes, pulling her close, and murmured, “Ah, my wife has become quite the romantic in my company.” Sia gently traced his cheek with her fingers, confessing, “Yes, Ranvir, you’ve transformed me completely. I feel like a new person, and I adore this version of myself. You’ve taught me to love who I am, jaan. Thank you.” He kissed her fingers tenderly, saying, “Itna mat socha kar mera bacchaa! Tum pehle se hi aisi hi thi bas tumhe tumse milana tha. That’s why I fell for you na! Even after six months of marriage, my love for you grows deeper each day. You are the most vibrant hue in my life.” They embraced, savoring the cool breeze that wrapped around them, enhancing the romance of the moment.
They stood wrapped in each other’s arms, the cool breeze swirling around them, enhancing the magic of the moment. The distant rumble of thunder echoed, and Sia felt a thrill of excitement. “Do you remember our first rain together?” she asked, her eyes sparkling with nostalgia. Ranvir chuckled, “How could I forget? You were so hesitant to step outside, but once you did, you danced like no one was watching.”
Sia laughed, the sound light and melodic. “I was so afraid of getting wet, but you made it feel like the most exhilarating adventure. You took my hand and led me into the downpour, and I felt so alive.”
Ranvir nodded, his expression softening. “That’s the magic of the rain, isn’t it? It washes away our fears and allows us to be free. Just like love does.”
Sia leaned her head against his shoulder, feeling the warmth radiating from him. “You’ve taught me to embrace life’s uncertainties, to find joy in the little things. I never knew I could feel this way.”
“Life is a beautiful journey, Sia,” he replied, his voice low and soothing. “And I’m grateful to walk it with you. Every moment spent with you is a treasure.” Before Ranvir could utter a word, Sia silenced him with a delicate touch of her finger on his lips, nestling her head against his heart. Ranvir, feeling the warmth of her presence, placed a gentle kiss on her forehead, and they both lost themselves in the enchanting splendor of the world around them.

On the next morning, Ranvir had to depart for the office at dawn, as an esteemed client was set to arrive for an important meeting. He pressed a tender kiss upon Sia’s forehead, but she, with a playful tug on his collar, pulled him nearer. Their lips brushed softly, and she whispered lovingly, “Good luck, PatiDev.” He cradled her face in his hands and responded, “Thank you, Jaan!” before making his way out the door. Sia stepped into the washroom, preparing herself for the day ahead. She placed her keys down and was just about to lock her door when a voice she recognized called out, “Siuuuu bacchaa…” She turned, her heart racing, and found herself frozen in place. Before she could gather her thoughts, the woman enveloped her in a warm embrace. Overwhelmed with emotion, Sia hugged her back tightly, tears brimming in her eyes as she whispered, “Massi…!” The woman pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead, her voice filled with affection, “Mera bacha..! How have you been? It’s been so long since I’ve seen you, beta.” Sia quickly wiped her tears and replied, “I’m doing just fine, Massi. Please, come inside. This is my home.” As they entered, her massi glanced around with a look of disbelief, exclaiming, “You live here? Seriously, Sia? You traded your grand mansion for this?” Sia smiled softly at her words, responding, “Yes, Massi. I chose this place for my own home, for my family, for the love I’ve longed for all my life.” Massi raised an eyebrow, questioning, “What? Wasn’t your dad your family?” Without meeting her gaze, Sia replied quietly, “I don’t know.” Sia gently urged, “Oh, just leave it, Massi. Hold on, I’m preparing your favorite lemon tea.” With a warm smile, she added, “Wow, you remember!” Sia beamed and replied, “Of course, Massi!” After serving the tea and snacks, they engaged in a heartfelt conversation about their lives, her mother, and Sia’s journey after marriage. As the clock approached 5 o’clock, Massi prepared to leave. Sia wrapped her arms around her tightly, saying, “Please visit more often, Massi. It makes me so happy.” She kissed her forehead and reassured her, “Yes, my dear! I’ll come back soon.” After Massi departed, Sia felt a wave of joy wash over her. It had been six long months since she had someone from her Mayka... She often listened to her friends share stories of their family visits during holidays, which left her feeling a bit down. But today, her wish came true. Massi had brought her favorite sweets and a beautiful saree, along with a kurta pajama set for Ranvir. Sia connected her phone to the loudspeaker and filled the room with her favorite retro tunes. Feeling cheerful, she decided to whip up Ranvir’s dinner all on her own. Knowing how much he adored Dum Aloo, she was excited to surprise him. Just as she was about to call him, a notification popped up on her phone. It was a thumbs up emoji, signaling that his deal with the foreign client had gone through! She thought it best to hold off on texting him for now. After preparing a delicious dinner and tidying up the space, she set the mood with some candles and soft lighting. Just then, the doorbell chimed!
