The doorbell chimed softly, a sweet herald of surprise. As Ranvir swung the door open, he was met with an enchanting sight—Sia, playfully concealed behind the door. As he stepped inside, she brushed her lips against his cheek, whispering in a voice laced with affection, “Congratulations, my king. Here’s to another victory.” Ranvir, captivated, turned her to face him, planting a tender kiss on her earlobe, his voice dripping with allure, “What’s a grand king to do with just this little celebration?” Sia, with a playful glint in her eyes, pressed her lips to his cheek and murmured, “Your wish is my command…” In a swift motion, Ranvir swept her into his arms, carrying her toward the bed. Sia’s soft kisses danced along his neck, igniting sparks of passion. As he laid her down, she brushed her lips against his forehead, asking, “Now, tell me everything.” With another kiss, Ranvir chuckled, replying, “Oh, it’s nothing much—just that everyone was on edge before the meeting, that client is quite the tyrant…” He caught Sia’s amused gaze, her smirk teasing him. She playfully nipped at his skin, and he exclaimed, “You little minx!” Sia giggled, “I’m just doing my part; you keep talking.” Ranvir continued, “So, everyone was presenting options, but he was so set in his ways. Then I unveiled my presentation from Goa.” Sia’s eyes widened in disbelief as she tapped his shoulder, “You worked during our honeymoon? How scandalous…” Her adorable pout was irresistible. Ranvir leaned in, kissing her lips softly, “But we had so much fun, didn’t we?” With a playful nudge, Sia lifted herself slightly and teased, “Well, my beloved husband, it appears you are about to face your punishment.” Ranvir burst into laughter, questioning, “Are you serious?” As Sia’s fingers deftly worked on the buttons of his shirt, her lips trailed sweetly over his shoulder and neck, while Ranvir lost himself in the moment, his eyes gently closed. Suddenly, he halted her, a curious expression crossing his face. “What’s happening?” Sia asked, her smile radiant. He caught a whiff of something delightful and exclaimed, “Could it be… Dum alooooo?” Sia sealed her lips against his, affirming, “Indeed… I simply wished to see my king’s happiness today.” In a swift motion, Ranvir flipped her beneath him, his voice low and playful. “Now, it’s my turn to delight my Malika,” he said, showering her neck and shoulder with kisses, causing Sia to giggle as the sensations danced across her skin. As they shared tender kisses, Ranvir paused to ask Sia, “Hey! You were supposed to visit Kalpana, right? How is she?” Sia replied, “No, Massi came over today, so I couldn’t go.” In an instant, Ranvir ceased his actions, and his expression turned serious. Sia noticed the change and asked, “What’s wrong?” Ranvir, with a grave tone, questioned, “Why did she come?” Sia explained, “Ranvir, she’s my Massi. She came to see me.” Ranvir rose from the bed, saying, “But after six months, what’s caused her to visit now?” Sia countered, “What’s bothering you, Ranvir? Is it wrong for her to visit me?” Ranvir, now agitated, replied, “That’s not my point, Sia. It’s just that her sudden appearance is unsettling. Where was she when we were trying to establish our home? When we needed an elder’s support? Why wasn’t she at our wedding?” He stormed off to the bathroom, leaving Sia with tears in her eyes. Just moments ago, she had felt like the happiest person alive, but now it seemed her husband couldn’t share in her joy.

Ranvir stood under the shower, lost in thought about the events that had just unfolded. A wave of guilt washed over him. He realized it wasn't her fault, so why had he spoken to her that way? She had been so excited to prepare everything for him, and now he had only succeeded in making her unhappy. Turning off the water, he dressed in his comfortable clothes and made his way to the kitchen, where Sia was busy chopping vegetables for the salad. He wrapped his arms around her from behind and softly murmured, “I’m really sorry… I shouldn’t have said those things.” Sia gently removed his hands from her waist and, without a word, carried the salad into another room. Ranvir understood that she wouldn’t be receptive to him now, so he decided to take the plates and follow her, hoping to make amends. He kept reaching out to her, but her silence was like a wall between them. He trailed behind her, desperation in his voice. “Sia…” he called, but she remained unresponsive. “I’m sorry, baby. I know I messed up. I was just trying to protect you. I never meant to hurt you.” But Sia only turned away, retreating to the kitchen once more. Ranvir’s heart sank with impatience; the distance between them felt unbearable. He couldn’t stand the sight of her in pain. He followed her again, but frustration bubbled within her. She retreated to her room, and as she began to shut the door, he instinctively placed his hand in the way. Sia didn’t utter a word. Instead, she slipped away to the balcony, leaving him in a silence that echoed his despair.Ranvir knelt down, clutching Mr. Owl Mathur tightly, his heart heavy with regret. He placed the owl gently before her, trying to muster a hopeful expression, but it felt like a mask over his sorrow. With a trembling voice, he held his ears and pleaded, “Look, my love, your two owls can’t bear to be apart from you. Please, don’t punish this one because of me. Forgive us, please…” Sia remained silent, her back turned, and the weight of her silence crushed him. Each moment stretched painfully, a reminder that he was the cause of her tears. It felt as if a thousand needles were piercing his heart. Rising slowly, he wrapped his arms around her from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder, his voice barely a whisper, “Mera Baccha itna gussa hai mujhse? ” But before he could continue, he felt the tremor of her body in his grasp. Turning her to face him, he was engulfed by a wave of guilt as he saw her sobbing uncontrollably.
When Ranvir reached out to lift her face, she violently shoved his hands away, her voice laced with fury. “Don’t touch me, Ranvir! You find it so easy to hurt someone and then just say sorry. She is my aunt, and she can come whenever she wants. I don’t need your permission, do you hear me? I… I…” Her words dissolved into heart-wrenching sobs, her body trembling as if she might faint. Ranvir tried to hold her, but she slipped from his grasp and dashed to the terrace. He followed, his heart heavy. Sia fell to her knees, tears pouring down her cheeks as she looked up at the heavens. “Why did you leave me, Mom? I have no one to call family anymore. No one to run to when I argue with my husband. I feel so alone, Mom. So alone…” Ranvir’s heart ached as he witnessed her suffering, tears streaming down his face. Sia’s pain was too much for him to bear, leaving him frozen in place, unsure of how to comfort her. Just then, she fainted.
Ranvir rushed to her, enveloping her in his arms, his heart heavy with sorrow. “I’m so sorry, Jaan. I’m truly sorry. Please don’t leave me like this…” Tears streamed down his face as he lifted her gently, carrying her to the bedroom where he laid her down softly. He sprinkled a few drops of water on her face, hoping to bring her back. Moments later, Sia stirred, her eyes fluttering open, but she wouldn’t meet his gaze. She rose from the bed, intent on leaving, but he grasped her gently, pulling her back. Resting his head against her stomach, he pleaded, “Sia… please don’t do this to me. I know I’ve made mistakes, but don’t shut me out like this. I’ll do whatever you ask, just don’t punish me like this. Please, let’s talk. We can work through this together.” Sia struggled to break free, but he held on tightly. “I realize I shouldn’t have acted that way. But try to see it from my perspective. I never wanted you to face that pain alone, and I can’t bear the thought of them hurting you again. I don’t want you to return to that old life. And remember, Sia, no matter who it is—even if it’s your father—if anyone in your family hurts you, I will go to any lengths to protect you.”
Sia fell silent for a moment, her voice heavy with sorrow as she finally asked, “And what if its you?” Ranvir glanced up, noticing the icy detachment in her gaze. Rising to his feet, he replied, “I can still go to any lengths.” Unable to bear her stare any longer, he turned away, his fist striking the wall with such force that blood began to trickle down. Sia’s voice broke through the silence, “Can you show me the proof now?” Without meeting her eyes, he murmured, “Yes.” She wrapped her arms around him from behind, whispering, “Alright, go get a chocolate lava cake. And don’t forget the extra dark exotic ice cream. Make sure it’s within 15 minutes.”
Ranvir spun around, his heart racing at the sight before him. Sia's eyes glistened with unshed tears, a poignant reminder of the emotions swirling between them. He enveloped her in a warm embrace, as if to shield her from the world, for he had nearly lost her. Sia melted into his arms, her own embrace tightening around him. “I am s…” he began, but Sia gently interrupted, her voice a soothing whisper. “Shhh, no need for words, Ranvir. Today was a day of joy for me. You know, all the newly married girls here have their families visiting, bringing gifts and love. But I felt so alone, with no one to call my own. When my aunt came today, it felt like home again. When you shared those thoughts, I feared you wouldn’t understand my loneliness. I despise this solitude, Ranvir.” He tenderly stroked her back, reassuring her, “There will be fights and disagreements, but that doesn’t mean I’m not with you, Sia. You are my home, Mera Bacchaa. And yes, she can visit whenever she wishes.” At the mention of his last words, Sia's face lit up with joy, “Really?” Ranvir pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead, affirming, “Indeed.”
Even though Ranvir had his doubts, Sia's happiness meant everything to him. He embraced her tightly, and they both savored the warmth of their hug. Sia playfully tapped his shoulder and remarked, “Husband, you only have 5 minutes left to finish your punishment.” Ranvir, taken aback, replied, “But Sia, how can I possibly do it that quickly? Please, just give me 15 more minutes.” With a teasing smile, Sia responded, “5 minutes is plenty of time to get to the fridge.” They exchanged glances and erupted into laughter.
