"You always come up
with those inconceivable
acts of yours,
And I always end up gathering
words to define my feelings"

At Mansion

It was noon and the mansion fell silent. Everyone was engaged in resting or working or taking care of personal works. Life would seem much calmer during this period.

And in this calm and silent period, June thought of giving live to her imaginations through paintings. She made numerous paintings during the last year. Sometimes planned, sometimes unplanned. Everything contained in her painting. They didn't have any specific subject. Random. June never thought much before starting a painting. She just followed her ideas, imagination and heart. Her fingers moved in a sync.

June was, as usual, making a painting in her room. Her entire concentration was on the canvas. She randomly splashed the colors and swirled her brush not thinking what it would result in. She was out of world for a while.

After a while, she finished the painting and her eyes surprisingly gaped the scene before her. She was quite startled to see a house in the painting. A random house. Its surrounding were dark. The sky above it seemed gloomy, stormbound. And the flowers were scattered and trampled on the ground, mercilessly. As if the house was on fire which was unseen. Uneasiness engulfed her as she tried to read the meaning of the painting.

Reality hit her hard in mind when she realized she saw the house in her dreams. Not from any usual dreams but from those nightmares. She couldn't gather her thoughts why things were getting this way. She started getting her nightmares frequently after coming to the mansion. As if her nightmares were born in here. In this mansion. Her tensed gaze wandered her eyes all over the painting to figure things out.

June was abruptly taken out of her thoughts hearing a knock on the door, which made her flinch slightly. She breathed deep before getting up and made her way to the door and opened it. She was quite unprepared to see the person standing in front of him at the noon.

"Good noon, Mrs. Kim", the man politely bowed at her.

"Good noon, Mr. Ricardo", she bowed back showing her heartiness.

Ricardo was quite perplexed with her behaviour. She barely talked with him in this whole period. There was no need actually. But the way she talked with him so respectfully and politely, it made him amazed.

"Please call me Ricardo, Mrs. Kim."

"Oh, no, please! You're older than me. I shouldn't sound rude or impolite. It's okay", she offered him a genuine smile.

Ricardo felt quite faltered as he just slightly bowed again. Then he forward a big royal blue box at June, "Please take this. Sir has sent it for you."

She frowned in confusion yet received the box, it wasn't much heavy, "He sent it? What's inside it?" she asked checking it from outside.

"You should check it yourself, Mrs. Kim. Sir told me to inform you that you have to be ready at 10 p.m. He'll take you somewhere."

June felt a lovely wind blowing towards her heart. She was trying not to smile cheesily in front of him. She held back herself and flashed Ricardo a smile, "Thank you, Mr. Ricardo. I'll be ready."
