Jason comes running in, police right after. He asks me if I'm alright and I nod. The police ask me questions about Sara, and what I did to provoke her. I tell them everything, from when I first met her, to now. They write something down, then ask where she went. I think for a second then say 'She went out the back window, but, I would take her fingerprint, just in case she comes back into this town, but with a different name, you just don't know.'  They agree, then ask if I had anything with the fingerprint on. I think again, running through a long list in my head of the presents I got her, and she gave to me. Suddenly I remembered the knife. 'The knife!! It's outside somewhere, I knocked it out of her hand when she was talking!' The police smile. 'Good thinking.' The tall policeman says, giving me a wink. I blush, suddenly very nervous. What if, they find out that Jason and I are the leaders of the top gangs around here? They won't help me, just make Sara come and kill me. Or, they'll put me into prison. God knows what'll happen if my gang don't have me with them.

The police seem to sense my fear. 'What's wrong honey? Don't worry, we can sort this all out as soon as we capture Sara. Then, you'll be safe and sound.'  But I won't. I'll stay haunted by this whole thing,

The police leave, so only Jason and I are left in the house. He picks me up, and plonks me gently onto the sofa. 'Sass, sweetie, I know you'll be in some sort of shock right now but-' 'No, what I am in shock about, is your sixth sense for me in trouble! How the hell did you know I was in trouble?' He smiles,' You left me in the car, remember! I started driving off when I saw you arguing with a girl. So I stayed, because I find it cute when you argue with people. But when she brought that knife out, I thought that I better ring the police and tell them to sort it out. So I did, then they came, and well, you know the rest,'  Jason looks at me as if he needs approval. So, I nod and whisper 'Okay then.' He grins, showing his bright white teeth. I hold my arms out for a hug and he pulls me into him, and hugs me hard. 'I miss you Sass, when you aren't next to me.' He mumbles. I whisper something else into his ear and he laughs, his clear, bright, happy laugh.
