As I walk into our HQ, I see that the girls have left it in a mess. Perfect! A good start to my birthday. I go into the kitchen, where I can smell wafcakes (A cross between waffles and pancakes). I find a huge pile of them on our biggest plate and I start to eat.
When I'm full, I go in the Games Room and I get the shock of my life. Jason is down on one knee.He looks like he's in heaven when he sees me.O-kay. He's never done this before. What is he getting at? 'Jason, what the hell-?' He looks at me lovingly and then takes a deep breath.'I love you Saskia. I really really really love you. Which is why, I want to marry you.' He looks at me for a reply. I widen my eyes in disbelief and then shake my head. 'Well, under normal circumstances, no, but, since you asked on the best day of my life, yes. I will. I accept.' He jumps up and hugs me, I kiss him gently on the lips, 'That was the weirdest thing that could have happened today, but it was also the best thing.' He grins, his grey eyes shimmering in the light. Then I realise I have another girl to beat up today. And if I don't, well we won't get an award at all. I whisper in his ear, 'Gotta go!' He nods, immediatley understanding, 'I love you Jason', I say, and he replies,'Love you too Saskia.' Then he walks off into the Games Room.
I meet Kaia, Antoinette, Yils, Adira, Katrina and Valentina for brunch at our usual, The Loopy Cowboy. I'm allowed as much as I want for free, as we're regualars here and the manager knows that we stuff ourselves as a treat on our birthdays.
The waiter slides over and as he wipes the table he talks. 'I hear it is someone's birthday today!' I nod,'It is mine! I am 19 today!' He looks me up and down, obviously thinking that I'm pretty, then he trys to hit on me. ' You are looking stunning today, and I musr say, I really like your top!' I smile, then to my suprise I hear myself saying,'Sorry dude, I'm getting married.' I hold my breath, waiting for the voices of my my gang to say 'I knew it!','Perfect!' or 'Great!' But they don't. The waiter stares at me in horror, then he looks at my hand, where my ring is glittering brightly. 'Oh, I'm ever so sorry! I don't believe that I saw the ring! Sorry about that!' He hurries away quickly, embarrased. 'Girls, Did you not plan for that to happen? Not the waiter thing but Jason?' They look at one another, frowning. 'No, we didn't plan for that to happen.' Yils says. 'Yes, but how did he get into the HQ?' I ask. 'WHAT!!! HE GOT IN THE HQ??!!' The girls yell in unison. 'Yeah, he got in the HQ. He proposed in the Games Room.' I say, calmly. 'OMG he was in the Games Room!!' Adira screams. Adira is super-protective of the Games Room, because she is addicted to violent video games like Call Of Duty, Halo and all the others. After all, she learned how to shoot people with her games so we helped her make a Games Room and after that she agreed to stock up on the Video Games. 'Did he play on any of my games?' She asks frantically. 'Um, yeah. He was playing on the new one you got.' I respond. 'I'm just winding her up though.' I mouth to Valentina, through my thick blonde hair. Valentina laughs quietly, her strawberry blonde hair rustling in the fan's wind. This is the life for me.
'Come on girls, we need to go and do our thing.' They all smile and we stand and then call the waiter over for a bill. '£1.50 please.' The waiter checks Katrina out as she bends down to get her bag. He will never learn will he. 'What do you think you are doing?' I ask, coldly. 'Ever since you first came over, you have been checking every single one of us out. Isn't that against the policy or something? Anyway, we don't like it. So bugger off.' Okay, I didn't say exactly that but I said a little more swears than that. He shrugs then walks off into the kitchen. We leave the money on the table and then go.
