Aik's growing worry made him take drastic action. He contacted Raaidh, an old classmate from his foundation course days at MNU main building. Aik believed Raaidh, who was now in the same foundation program as Shaii, Kohinoor, and Naanu, could spy on them without raising suspicion. But Raaidh's awkwardness quickly became a problem.
From the first day, Raaidh's attempts at spying were more comical than threatening. He was caught pretending to read a book upside down at the cafeteria where Shaii and her friends often met. His nervous glances and strange behavior made it clear something was off. Over the next few days, he continued to act strangely—peeking around corners, hiding behind potted plants, and even using binoculars in the most obvious ways.
Despite the trio's suspicions, they couldn't quite figure out what Raaidh was up to. But everything changed one afternoon when they caught him red-handed.
It happened on a bright afternoon when Shaii, Naanu, and Kohinoor decided to follow Raaidh to the library after noticing his increasingly strange behavior. They quietly trailed him until they heard him talking on the phone. Hiding behind a bookshelf, they listened as Raaidh nervously reported everything about them to Aik.
Shaii's eyes narrowed, and she motioned for Naanu and Kohinoor to stay quiet. When Raaidh turned around, he nearly jumped out of his skin seeing the trio right in front of him. His face flushed with panic. "H-how did you find out?" he stammered, unable to meet Shaii's piercing glare.
Shaii, with a smirk, replied, "We knew from the start. You're too obvious, Raaidh."
Raaidh, sweating nervously, tried to come up with an excuse but failed miserably. Shaii and her friends burst out laughing at his awkwardness. Raaidh, desperate, pleaded, "Please, spare me! I didn't mean for this to happen."
Kohinoor, irritated by Raaidh's incompetence, snapped, "You're involved now, and you'll work for us. You don't have a choice."
Raaidh gulped, clearly terrified of Shaii's intense glare. "I really don't want to get involved," he muttered, his voice shaking.
Shaii's patience was wearing thin. She leaned closer and asked calmly, "Do you really think what Aik is doing to Lamb is right?"
Raaidh, hoping to win their favor, nervously replied, "I don't know... Aik and Lamb are both dumb, if you ask me."
Shaii and Naanu both put a hand to their foreheads in disbelief. "You're so dumb," they muttered in unison, knowing Raaidh had just made things worse.
Kohinoor, her eyes burning with anger, cracked her knuckles and said, "Any last words?"
"Last?" Raaidh asked, his voice trembling.
Kohinoor didn't wait for an answer. She grabbed Raaidh by the collar and the seat of his trousers, lifting him off the ground. With surprising strength, she tossed him against a nearby bookshelf, sending books flying. Raaidh begged for mercy, but Kohinoor wasn't done. She picked him up agiam and threw him into an open elevator just as the doors slid apart.
Inside the elevator stood Rihulaa Miss, who had just arrived. Shaii, Naanu, and Kohinoor quickly made their escape down the stairs, hoping to avoid being seen. Rihulaa Miss looked down at Raaidh, who was sprawled on the elevator floor with an open book on his head.
"Have you finished the business assignment?" Rihulaa Miss asked sternly, mistaking his disheveled state for laziness. She then launched into a two-hour lecture, leaving Raaidh more drained than ever.
As the day drew to a close, Shaii, Naanu, and Kohinoor walked home, disappointed that they still hadn't made much progress against Aik. The trio, usually full of energy, seemed deflated by the day's events. Just as they were about to part ways, Shaii's phone rang. It was Pop, the friend with the goldfish memory.
Shaii sighed, thinking Pop was probably calling to boast about her many admirers. But as she answered, Pop's tone was different. She shared a piece of information that made Shaii's eyes light up with excitement.
Naanu and Kohinoor exchanged confused glances, wondering what could have caused Shaii's sudden change in mood. But as Shaii hung up the phone, a determined smile spread across her face. The day hadn't been a waste after all.
