Scared to be lonely

Lamb's eyes fluttered open, the sterile scent of antiseptic heavy in the air. His surroundings were blurry at first, but slowly they sharpened into focus. He blinked, his heart racing as he realized where he was—the hospital.

"HOW ARS YOU DOING, PRETTY BOY?" came a voice he didn't expect to hear.

Sayya's grinning face was hovering over him, far too close for comfort. Lamb jerked, startled, his pulse spiking as the memories of what had happened flooded back. The lap dance, Aik and Gofi, and then... nothing.

"You're awake," Sayya chuckled. "Look at you, making it out alive after all that drama."

Before Lamb could reply, the door opened again. After a brief conversation with the doctor, Shaii arrived at the room. Not too long after, the doctor alson enters, clipboard in hand, and walked over to Lamb's bedside. He gave him a polite nod before checking the monitors. "Your blood pressure was dangerously high," the doctor said. "Seems stress got the better of you. You'll need to stay overnight, just to make sure it stabilizes."

Lamb nodded slightly, his head throbbing.

The doctor left, but as he did, Shaii asked lamb, "Are you okay?", her voice softer than usual and her face full of concern.

Lamb forced a weak smile. "I've been better."

Before Shaii could respond, the door opened again, and this time, Aik walked in, Gofi close behind. Aik carried a bowl of soup, its steam rising into the air. Gofi had made it, but Aik claimed it was from him, trying to mend things with Lamb. "We brought you something to eat," Aik said, smiling that insincere smile Lamb had seen too many times. "I made it myself, just for you my pom pom."

Aik dipped a spoon into the soup and leaned forward, trying to feed Lamb. "Here, love, you need to eat to get your strength back."

Lamb turned his face away, staring at the wall. "I'm not hungry."

Aik's smile faded, but he quickly recovered, trying another angle. "Come on, babe. You know this whole thing was Sayya's fault. He manipulated us into it. We didn't want to hurt you."

Gofi nodded eagerly from behind, his face filled with exaggerated regret. "Yeah, Lamb. It was all Sayya's idea. He tricked us."

Sayya, who had been leaning casually against the wall, finally spoke up, his voice dripping with amusement. "Oh, so it's my fault now? You want me to show Lamb all the money transfers, huh? Then we'll see who really planned what."

Shaii crossed her arms, her gaze narrowing. "He's got a point."

The tension in the room was thickening when the doctor returned, frowning at the crowd. "Alright, that's enough. He needs rest. Only one person can stay here with him tonight."

Before anyone could speak, Aik rushed to Lamb's bedside, wrapping his arms around him in a desperate show of affection. "I'll stay with him. He needs me," Aik said, his voice sickly sweet.

But Lamb didn't even look at him. He shoved Aik away, his voice cold. "I don't want you here."

Aik stepped back, looking genuinely shocked. Gofi glanced at him, then at Lamb, clearly unsure what to do. They lingered for a moment longer before Aik finally muttered, "Fine. We'll leave."

As Aik and Gofi left the room, Sayya shot Lamb a mischievous grin. "I'll leave you with your real guilty pleasure," he said, winking at Shaii before sauntering out of the room.

Shaii sighed, shaking her head as she turned to leave as well, but just as she reached the door, she felt a soft tug on her hand. She turned to see Lamb looking up at her, his eyes pleading.
