Super Soldiers

Me, Peggy, and Steve where in a car on the way to the lab. There was silence but then Steve tried to break it by talking about all of the times he's been beat up, probably not the best choice of conversation on the way to become a soldier. "I know that alley" Steve started. "I got beat up and y/n punched the guy." He pointed again. "And that parking lot" God he can be so dumb sometimes. "And behind that diner" OK Steve we get it. "Did you have something against running away?" Peggy asked. Steve always hated running away because it wasn't right, he wanted to fight for what he thought was right. "If you start running they'll never let you stop. You stand up, you push back. They can't say no forever, right?" He said with confidence. He taught that to me when I was little, so then I taught myself how to defend everyone who was in trouble. "I know what that's like, to have every door shut in your face." Peggy said, she has a point women do not usually get opportunities because we are women.

When we arrived the building read "Brooklyn Antiques" I've been here quite a lot to look at the cool stuff they sold. "What are we doing here?" I asked Peggy. She didn't answer so I followed her and Steve in. An older lady came from the back room. "Wonderful weather this morning, isn't it?" She said looking at Peggy. "Yes, but I always carry an umbrella." She said. I'm so confused right now. Why are they talking about weather? Then the old lady walked over and pushed a button, as she pushed it a door opened. I guess that was code for something? I'll ask Peggy later. We walked in and it was a lab. Super creepy lab though. When we stood at the rail everyone in the room stopped what they where doing and looked at us. When we walked down a flight of stairs doctor Erskine welcomed us. "Good morning he said while shaking Steve's hand and then shaking mine. "Please not now" he told some camera man as he took a picture so us. "Are you ready y/n?" He asked me. "Of course doctor. Ready as I'll ever be" I said still very confused. "Good. Now I'm going to have you go put this on." He said handing me some kind of undergarment. When I put it on it was a very short shirt, I walked out and he told me to get on the table and relax. I did as told, now I'm starting to get nervous. "Just relax y/n, your brother is upstairs watching." He reassured me. "Mr. Stark! How are your levels?" He asked. Where have I heard that name? That's the guy from the expo. "Levels at 100%" he said walking around me and the doctor. "Good." Erskine said. "We may dim half the lights in Brooklyn, but we are ready, as we'll ever be." He said starring at me. I saw the doctor tell Peggy something, then I watched her walk up to the room. Tap Tap Tap. "Do you hear me? Is this on?" Erskine said checking the microphone. Then I tuned out because of how nervous I was. They started lowering things onto my chest, and I saw them grab viles with blue liquid in them. I counted six, and there where twelve left. They started putting them into the machine next to me. One of the nurses injected me with penicillin, which didn't hurt at all. "Serum infusion, beginning in. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1." Dr Erskine said. While he said that I felt needles pierce my skin. I winced. I watched as the blue liquid began emptying from the viles. The machine started moving upwards and soon I was standing in it. As soon as the machine closed I blacked out. I was awaken by my name being called. "Y/n, y/n are you ok?" Steve said. I jolted up and looked around. I felt the same but stronger. I looked the same but I felt different. They then brought me up so Steve could undergo the experiment. I heard doctor Erskine talking through the microphone and then saw him talking to Steve, as they started the machine he had 12 more viles than I had. He was now in a standing position and I observed as the doors closed. I heard a faint scream and stood up. "Kill the reactor!" I heard Erskine say. "No! Don't I can take it!" Steve shouted back, I could hear the pain in his voice. When it was over I ran down to the machine and when it opened, I saw my brother. He was no longer little he was huge. "Steve are you ok!" I said going beside him. Peggy ran up next and could not believe her eyes. I watched her admire him, then she touched one of his muscles which made me laugh at her. "How do you feel?" Peggy asked still staring. "Taller" Steve said panting. "You look taller" Peggy said flustered. They where congratulating the doctor when a bomb went off. Boom. Everyone crouched down. "Stop him!" I heard someone say, he then shot the doctor. "Erskine!" I yelled. He was like a father to me and Steve, now he was gone. Peggy started shooting at the man. I then grabbed a gun and tried shooting too, but we both missed. Steve kneeled down next to the doctor as I went after the man. We where both running then I heard Steve run beside me. When we reached the exit the man was already running to a car, Peggy was with us too. Some of the people on our side started shooting at the men, but they missed. The man got into a car with another man, and started speeding off. "STEVE LETS GO!" I yelled, he was behind me running. Me and Peggy where on the road with guns pointed at the car. Boom. The car behind us blew up, causing us to duck down. We refocused and Peggy took the first shot hitting the driver, I watched as the car swerved off the road and hit a building. Me and Peggy where still in the road while the man got into a taxi and started driving towards us. I took the first shot damaging the window, as the man got closer Peggy took a shot. When Peggy missed the car was still driving towards us when we got tackled off the road. "WHAT THE HELL STEVE!" I shouted. "WE HAD HIM!" I said again. "Sorry!" He yelled as we took off running behind the car. Steve and I where raised here so we knew the roads, we took a short cut and we where right behind the car. When I heard glass shatter I turned and saw Steve had went through the window of a dress shop. "DAMN IT STEVE COME ON!" I yelled while running ahead of him. We ran into an alley and saw a fence we looked at each other then jump over it. I was surprised because this fence was taller than Steve. We finally caught up to the man and hung on the top of his car. "HANG ON Y/N" Steve called out to me. "IM TRYING" I yelled annoyed. The man then shot through the roof of the car, a bullet hitting my shoulder. "AGH" I yelped. Shit. Shit. Shit. I was now hanging on with one arm. Me and Steve got thrown off the car after it got hit by another car. "Y/N STAY BACK AND GO FIND PEGGY! YOU'RE HURT!" Steve yelled. "No I'm not leaving!" I exclaimed. Steve quickly grabbed a car door and used it as a shield. "GET BEHIND ME Y/N" He said to me. I got behind him and the man shot at us. I saw the man point the gun at random strangers and grab their kid. "GET THE KID!" I screamed. The man ran into an alley with me and Steve following. We turned the corner and the man out is gun up to the kids head. "WAIT!" I said. "DON'T! Don't!" Steve pleaded. The man lowered his hand then threw the kid into the water. I ran to check on the kid while Steve ran after the man. "Are you ok?!" I asked panicked. "Yes! I can swim! Go get the guy!" He told me. I was running after the man, this time slower because of the blood loss. But I noticed it started to heal so I ran as fast as I could. The man got into this submarine, and Steve jumped on top of it. Next thing I know the man is being thrown onto the concrete, Steve following up the latter. He tried to swing at Steve but I kicked him. "Who the hell are you!" Steve questioned. "The first of many. Cut off one head, two more shall take its place! Hail Hydra!" He said, but now he was foaming at the mouth. Who the hell is Hydra? He's dead. I watched Steve look at himself then we headed back to the lab.
