OO3. TEST OF STRENGTH !

Makomo waited eagerly in her bedroom for the letter of acceptance. She knew she would be in the school; they'd be fools to turn her down. Not to toot her own horn, but given the strength she displayed in the exam, — especially in comparison to the other applicants — she was almost guaranteed a position in the Hero Course.

"Hey, Mako!" Her aunt called, knocking on her door. "Your letter's here."

Makomo jumped down from her seat on her lofted bed and landed softly on a conjured cloud. Being not only the daughter of two Pro Heroes, as well as the niece to one helped her to live a comfortable life. Her room was extremely customized and unique to Makomo, especially with her bed that stood at a height of twelve feet.

As she braced her landing, she rushed to the door. "Thanks, auntie!" She grabbed the letter, excitedly hurrying to her desk as she peeled it open.

Inside, a letter read,

Dear Izumi Makomo,

we appreciate your attendance at U.A's annual entrance exam. You passed your written exam portion with a 100%, and cleared the physical test with astounding numbers. With sixty four battle points and forty two rescue points, with a total of one hundred and six points, you passed! Not only did you show off your heroic passion during this exam, you proved that you have the strength and capability to make yours dreams your reality. As this year's top scorer, we expect you to lead our first years throughout their journeys.

Welcome, Izumi, to Your Hero Academia!

Sincerely, Principal Nezu!

Makomo smiled as she read through the contents.

Finally, she was getting closer to the answers she was seeking for. She was finally making progress in returning. God, she could practically hear their whispers, awaiting her return. She craved for it, longed for it more than anything. She missed her father. She missed her siblings.

She missed her old world. The air, the people, the environment, the people. She'd do anything to return, even if it meant sacrificing anything in this world. Even if it meant sacrificing her life once more. She yearned for solace, to return as one of the ghost children of Urokodaki. She needed to be near him once more, before she forgot him any more than she did.

She sometimes forgot his voice, or how he would act. Sometimes, the details of his mask blurred. She hated those time so, so much. She missed him more than anything. She missed the dead souls who'd taught her, who mentored her. She missed everything of her old world. It was hard to remember most of the time, given that fifteen years had passed since her death.

She clung on to the remnants of the past that she could, longing to return. This letter was a ticket back home. A ride sure to be filled with bumps in the road, but ultimately, it would lead her back to her beloved mentor. She couldn't wait for that day.

Shino, leaning against the doorframe, quirked a brow. It snapped Makomo out of her trance. "So, tell me kid! Did you get in?"

"Yep!" Makomo laughed, "And you'll never guess who was their top scorer! Me!"

"Atta'girl," Shino laughed along, running her finger's through her niece's hair. "You'll do great."

After a few weeks, Makomo's first day at U.A came. She disliked the uniform. Modern clothes weren't really her thing. Though, she attributed it to her life in the Taisho Era. Still, she walked through the grand doors, uniform on and bag slung over her shoulder.

"Ah! Hello!" A boy called out to her. She stared at the scene behind him, of three kids seemingly arguing, before turning her attention back to him. "I'm Iida Tenya, from Soumei Academy! And you?"
