The Perfect date.

Some might say my version of a perfect date is too much and I need to lower my expectations, but I don't care.

What I want is the guy to pick me up from my house. Say hello to my parents. Open the car door. Kiss me on the cheek.

Then we go to a park. He carries a picnic basket and he holds my hand as we walk. He places the picnic blanket by a tree where I lean against.

His head is resting on my lap listening to me read a book, most likely 'Everything, everything by Nicola Yoon'.

He buys me pink tulips and hands them to me as he walks me to my front door after the date. He kisses me on the cheek and says goodbye promising to text me when he gets home, which he does.

That is my perfect date. I hope the date I will be going on in 6 hours to be exact is like that.

I've never been on a date, obviously, but I can't help but be excited and nervous.

I just have to get through school today, do my makeup and hair at lunch and I'll be fine.

I am already wearing my date outfit. A pink checkered pattern dress with white lace frills on the bottom and sleeves, paired with white wedges and a pink hair bow.

The outfit is fancy compared to what I usually wear to school yet it fits my personality perfectly.

I tend to wear coquette or old money outfits depending on my mood. Today is a coquette day, so watch out for the bows. Sparkle sparkle

I am walking down the hall smiling and waving to everyone I can when I suddenly see Oliver standing by my locker. Ugh

'Excuse me, please.' I say touching the lock of my locker signalling him to move. He listens but stands behind me instead. Personal space? Does he even know what it is?

'You going on a date with Jayden, right?' Are you freaking serious? I don't look at him as I put my bag away.

'Yes, and?' ARIANA!!

He rolls his eyes and starts, 'Why are you?' I turn to him and frown confused on why he is asking. 'Because I can', I say bluntly.

'He's not good enough for you.'

What the..?

'Isn't he your best friend? Plus I think I can make that decision myself' He scoffs before he says, 'Call me if he dumps you on the side walk, Cecillia.' He turns and walks away leaving me shocked.
