Who remembers when Scorpio, the God of the Dead, Death and Regret, professed his love to a special goddess?

Legend says that he turned the Council Building’s gardens into a romantic wonderland and wrote a heartfelt note that he had presented to her, along with a bouquet of her favourite flowers. Although this might sound cringe, or over the top, in today’s context, this was actually one of the most traditional and common ways of asking a girl out back then. And thankfully for Scorpio, she said yes!

I know you love poetry, so I did my best to write this for you. It will never be as sweet or beautiful as the poems you write, but hey, at least I tried, right?
Disclaimer: I didn’t write it. I’m not talented in that department :)

You are my fire, the one desire
But we are two worlds apart
Can't reach to your heart
Tell me why –
Ain't nothing but a heartache;
Ain't nothing but a mistake;
Tell me why, I never wanna hear you say
I want it that way
Am I your fire? Your one desire?

Honestly, I have no idea what that scramble of words is…Cancer said it was your favourite song from Earth so I just picked out the relevant lyrics…Maybe it’ll be better if I explain. Ever since I first laid eyes on you, I felt an instant connection, something pulling me towards you. And no, I don’t like you just for your beauty, though that’s a plus ;)

I know we met under undesirable circumstances, but I felt like that was when you really showcased your true self. You’re the bravest starling I’ve ever known. I’m sure if many had the choice, they wouldn’t have stayed to fight till the end. Before you try to come up with any excuses, I know my history, thank you very much, so I know precisely what I’m talking about. Remember the Titans? They could’ve easily prevented the Olympians from overthrowing them. Instead, they gave in and chose not to push on. They chose to give up, but you didn’t.

Even though the odds were stacked against us, you continued to encourage us and continued fighting, even if it would cost us our lives, because that was our duty as gods—to protect Eden and the universe.

Your passion was what sealed the deal for me, and ever since the war, I knew I was whipped. Cancer, herself, always teases me about it as well.

The war has been over for centuries. Eden has fully recovered from the damages and has mostly returned to normal. I think now would be the right time to finally confess to you, wouldn’t you?

If you think that this is just a joke, I can assure you that it’s not. Let me prove it to you.

I swear on my life that I’ll take this relationship seriously.
I’ll provide and care for you, loving you till my heart stops beating,
but even death won’t stop me from looking after you.
You are the missing piece in my life that I need to survive.
Should this Vow be broken, I deserve the Curse that comes for me.

So tell me, my love, would you do me the honours of being my girlfriend?
(Don’t worry, I’ve got your parents’ blessings so you can say yes ;))

This was a beautiful confession written by Scorpio to his wife, Pisces. For centuries, many have wondered how the dark and broody god could ever write a sweet love letter for the light-hearted goddess, much less take *Aphrodite’s Vow. We guess now we’ve got our answer. To all our hopeless romantics lapping this up, how do you think he did? Romantic enough?

As we come to the end of Scorpio and Pisces’ week-long wedding celebrations, we would like to wish the newlyweds a happy marriage and that their bond would continue to strengthen to withstand the cruel test of time.

*Aphodite’s Vow is a binding declaration of love from a man to his significant other that once said, cannot be undone. It was named after Aphrodite, the Goddess of Beauty and Love from the Olympian Council, and breaking the Vow would result in the man bearing the **Curse of Aphrodite.
**Curse of Aphrodite is where a starling will never be able to get into another relationship.
