Akito's POV;
The leader of the decay of angels. The true mastermind.
I used Y/n's body as a way to optimise my chances at being chosen as the decay of angels rightful mastermind.
It may seem particularly cruel.. but I couldn't care less.
As this letter reaches Dostoevsky, he will die and succumb to the venom I supplied Gogol. But, I already know how the story ends.
I have my chance, to have who I've always longed for..
Chuuya.
Obviously I yearned for his ability, not him.
His naturally ginger hair and sapphire eyes were alluring but, not something I was going for.
It wasn't like I loved him.
At all.
Not ever.

ANGSTY FLASHBACK 😋
'Akito! Run.. damnit.'
'Im not leaving you.'
'I am your superior, do as I say.'
'Rei, I can't.'
'Why are you so persistent?'
Rei's leg was trapped.
'Rei, just let me help you.'
The blaring police lights came our way.
'Please, Akito, go.'
'I love you.'
'I love you too. Now go!'
She pushes me as far as she can, still being under the rubble.
With the drug bag under my arm I race to the port mafia building.
Mori Ougai did this. And he would pay.
My darling Rei, I'm sorry.
—
Rei now served the life of a barista at a cafe, the same one Lucy Maude worked at.
Rei could not know about me right now.
My love, I'm so sorry.
And to Y/n, I'm sorry I ever corrupted your life.
But you hate me don't you reader?
I kneel Infront of a picture of Rei. Her blonde hair and brown eyes were to die for. Her still look in the photo of sheer joy.
I remember that festival.
Before we became drug lackeys for Mori.
Before I became a trainer for these pathetic underdogs.
Before I decided to ruin this book.
Before this fic ends.
Before everyone dies.
Plans out the window.
I wanted to see Rei.
—
I walk down the street, towards the Cafè Uzumaki, where Lucy and Rei worked.
The bricked cafe was gorgeous.
I would be sure to buy it for Rei if she desired.
She was worth it.
I enter the cafe, and Lucy greets me.
'Akito, so lovely to see you again.'
She hugs me.
'Yes, thank you Lucy. Where is she?'
'Over here.'
She leads me to the same Rei I left, she had her hair done up in a messy bun and was leaning over the counter in a green apron. She was fixing a customer's order.
As she finished I call her name.
'Rei.'
Her gaze snaps up and she runs towards me, enveloping me in a hug.
'Akito! Where have you been?'
I held her face.
'Too far.'
'I can tell.'
'When do you finish?'
'Now.'
She hands her apron to Lucy and Lucy nods, taking it and putting it on.
'Seeya lovebirds!'
I wave towards her and so does Rei.
The woman I had seen every inch of, every freckle, every mole, every dip in her hips and thighs, the singular mole around her collarbone just above her right breast, the way her smaller hand enveloped mine, I loved her.
I did this all for her.
And I wished I didn't. Because, I could have come back earlier.
She talks to me the whole way home. And I listen, I listen so closely.
I drop the remnants of the page on the ground and allow them to be enveloped by a nearby sewer drain.
