Within the three years Eve stayed at Beggar's Village, many changes occurred that improved the lives of the villagers—all thanks to Eve.

One of her first accomplishments was improving agricultural yields. She introduced new farming techniques, experimented with crop rotation, and even shared knowledge about soil management. As a result, the village's harvests became more bountiful, reducing hunger and enabling families to have more food security.

Education

Flashback

"Hey Kyle, what are you up to?" The nearly seventeen-year-old Eve asked as she walked into the Becketts' house. She saw Kyle lying on his stomach on the floor, concentrating intently on a notebook.

"I'm doing schoolwork, but it's too hard," Kyle said, his brows furrowed as he chewed on the tip of his pencil.

"Oh... well, what are you working on? Maybe I can help," Eve offered.

"Okay, thanks, Eve. I'm working on something called Mathematics, but I can't figure it out."

"Alright, let me see what you've got."

Kyle handed her his notebook. Eve glanced at the arithmetic equations:

8 ÷ 2(2 + 2) =
5 + 4 × 2 =
2 × 5^2 =

Eve was surprised to see that they taught arithmetic in this world. "Well, Kyle, I'm going to show you a trick to make this easier. It's called... PEMDAS."

Flashback Ends

Since she taught Kyle PEMDAS, it became a breakthrough for the villagers. Kyle shared the method with his teachers, who were so impressed they came to Eve's home, begging her to help improve the education of the students, believing she had extensive knowledge.

Reluctantly, Eve agreed and visited the village's only school. It was a small building with a single classroom that served children aged four to thirteen. The school offered only three subjects: history, math, and language (English). The books were scarce and often in poor condition due to the village's poverty.

Eve recognized that the children needed more stimulating content. She introduced new math formulas and suggested field trips to observe nature. The absence of sciences like biology and chemistry troubled her. Although she wasn't an expert, she could teach basic concepts such as the periodic table.

During a class discussion, one student asked, "Like the Kooky Forest? My mom says it's dangerous, but the Honorable Healer always goes there for medicine."

Eve remembered the Healer, Marick, whom she hadn't seen in nearly three years. She felt a pang of guilt for neglecting to visit him even on her sick days. "I've heard about the forest. It's best to avoid it. We can observe other parts of nature around the village instead," Eve said, trying to hide her embarrassment.

Soon after, something happened that made her reconsider her own advice.

Entertainment

When Eve first arrived in Beggar's Village, she introduced soccer and checkers. Over the next three years, she expanded their entertainment options, which became hugely popular. She introduced basketball, baseball, and volleyball as ball sports, and board games like Jenga, Catan, Monopoly, and Scrabble.

However, the most groundbreaking introduction was swimming.

Flashback

"So, Arlene, I heard there's a beach near the village. Is that true?" Eve asked her mother-figure.

"Yes, there is, but you shouldn't go near it; it's dangerous!" Arlene warned.

"Why?"

"If you get too close, you might fall in and drown."
