The past is the past

TW: loss of partner and unborn child

Liam's POV

I was tired and ready to get home. But I promised Harry I would stop by at the office to tell him the whole story what I knew about the rogue.

"I can see you're tired Liam, just inform me and you can go off to Niall who is probably already waiting for you."

When Harry mentioned my mate, I smiled and sat up straight. I was ready to tell the story and go home.

"Tell me what you know about the rogue."

"First thing I got to say is that Nick really has a screw loose. That man is not fit to be a leader at all."

"Tell me something I don't already know," Harry chuckled.

"The idiot just got the wrong rogue. I mean, did you see the rogue? He was so small, nobody in their right mind would think he attacked someone. Let alone a former Luna of a pack."

"Aunt Eileen told me she took a walk to clear her mind, you know, just to think about everything. We all know how hard is was for her to lose uncle Peter."

Harry nodded, yes he knew indeed how hard it was to lose your mate.

"She was deep in thought and as soon as she realised she was of pack property she immediately turned around to go back to the premises, but a feral rogue attack her before she could even turn around."

"Aunt Eileen fought with the rogue and was able to hurt them pretty bad. But she was pretty badly injured herself, and instead of going back to the pack border, she somehow ended up walking in the wrong direction."

"She was over an hour walk away from the pack grounds when she couldn't walk anymore and she realised she was nowhere near the pack."

"That is when she called for help and the rogue came to help her. Aunt Eileen said the rogue immediately took care of her injuries and made sure she wouldn't bleed out. Aunt Eileen begged him to take him back to the pack because she was to weak."

"She remembered how the rogue actually wanted to refuse to bring her to the pack, because of the stories he had heard about the pack. But after aunt Eileen promised he wouldn't be hurt, he helped her anyway."

"By the time they reached the border aunt Eileen was so weak that she lost consciousness before she could tell the pack how he helped her."

"Aunt Eileen slipped into a coma, and Nick and the pack took the rogue prison and tortured him."

"Torture?" Harry looked at me with a puzzled face.

After I told Harry what I had heard was done to the rogue he was furious.

"And they have been doing it for weeks to him." I shook my head, remembering all the things the doctor told me were done to the rogue.

Harry's eyes shifted from red to green all the time. His wolf was ready to come out.

"And the sad thing is that Nick doesn't even think he did something wrong. He thinks what he is doing to the rogues is normal. But in reality he is the only pack that treats rogues like that."

I started fidgeting with my fingers, ready to go see my mate. All this talk about hurting innocent rogues, and even omega's had me on edge. My wolf needed to see if our mate was okay.

Harry heard enough and ended our meeting.

I knew Harry had a rough time. And being the pack leader, meant he had to be aware of all the couples in the pack. For him it was sometimes hard because he lost his mate.

I still feel sorry for him about the way it happened.

Kay, his mate, was on the way home after a visit to the hospital.

Kay found out he was pregnant and because male pregnancies were rare, since male omega's were rare, he had to go to the hospital a few towns over, where they had a specialist on male omega pregnancies.

Harry had pack duties and wasn't able to accompany him to the hospital.

On the way back, after Harry had spoken to a very happy Kay, telling him all was good and he had a surprise for him as he came home, Kay was hit by a truck.

Killing him and the babies instantly.

Yes, babies, the surprise was that Kay and Harry were having twins.

I still am amazed how Harry keeps going and never gives up. But I think that is part of being a pack leader.

I can't imagine losing my Niall and the baby, I don't know if I would have the strength to go on.

Luckily I have a healthy mate at home, and is it no use to have thoughts like this.

So off to my mate I go.

As I opened the door of my house the chatter of a lot of people came to hearing.

"What are you all doing here?"

"Oh finally, you are back home! They all kept me company because you left me, and didn't even come to me in the first place when you got here." Niall pouted.

I instantly engulfed him in a big hug and kissed the top of his head. "You knew I had to go see Harry to fill him in on the Crescent Moon Pack."

"He took it hard, hearing what happened to the rogue omega, and lost control of his wolf."

"Why did he lose control of his wolf?" My annoying sister Taylor asked.

She always wanted to know everything about Harry. She had the biggest crush on Harry for as long as I can remember, but Harry never showed any interest in her what so ever.

"Why do you care, Taylor. It is none of your business, and Harry really doesn't want you around right now."

"We will see about that, everybody saw how he was all over me the last bonfire." Taylor flipped her long blond hair over her shoulder.

"No, we all saw how you took advantage of our Alpha, who was too drunk and too tired to even care what was happening. The fact he called you Kay should say enough." Niall snickered.

"No! He said Tay!" and with that my spoiled sister ran out of the house. Well good riddance, I need peace and silence with my mate."

Aunt Eileen still felt guilty but we all tried to comfort her saying she shouldn't feel too guilty because she didn't hurt the rogue. All she did was slip into a coma, and that is not something you do on purpose.

And if the rogue wakes up, he will agree on that, and forgive her instantly.

At least, that is what I hoped.
