8: Plums

The school bell just rang and the students are now packing their bags before going home. Ally, Nunew's teaching assistant, helped kids form a line to get ready to go out side and meet their parents.

"Ally, would you mind taking the kids? I have to prepare for a meeting with Dr. Panich"
Nunew asked her.

"Sure! No problem phi!"
Ally replied to him. She glanced at the door and smiled.

"Although I dont think you would have enough time do that"
Ally chuckles as she nodded towards the door

Nunew looked behind him and saw Zee leaning against the door with his hands in his pockets. He's now wearing a black dress shirt that shows off his biceps perfectly. Zee has this lopsided grin that makes Nunew's ears feel warm.

He's gorgeous.

Nunew says in his head as he stares at Zee.

"Daddy!"

Lizzie shouted behind Nunew waking him up. She ran towards Zee as he bent down and opened his arms for Lizzie who giggled when Zee picked her up and gave her a tight hug.

Ally nudged Nunew and chuckled.

"I'll take the kids out phi"
She said to Nunew.

Nunew nodded at her and he walked towards the two.

"Dr. Panich you're a early"
Nunew said to Zee.

"Zee."
Zee corrected Nunew who just sighed and shaked his head.

"P'Zee why are you so early? I was expecting you a bit later"
Nunew told Zee

"I was already free so I stopped by Mark's office."
Zee said as he puts Lizzie down.

"I guess i dont have to discuss things with you then?"
Nunew raised an eyebrow at Zee.

"Im sorry, I didnt mean to go behind your back. I was intending to wait until the class is over but Mark brought up the topic."
Zee said to Nu

Nunew just smiled at him

"Its alright phi. It saved me some time"
Nunew then turned his back and started rearranging seats.

"Liz, why dont you go and help teacher Nunew pick up books from the reading corner?"
Zee asked his daughter.

"Okay!'
Lizzie hopped towards the mini library.

Zee then walked closer to Nunew.

"I really didnt mean to go behind your back. It wasnt my intention"
Zee said while he picks up things that were left on the floor.

"That is fine phi. Really. Its okay"
Nunew chuckles at Zee

"I just dont want you to be upset or misunderstand"
Zee softly said.

Nunew sighed. He took one of the adult plastic chairs and placed it next to his table. He then motioned Zee to sit down with him.

They both sat down and talked while they look at Lizzie who is still at the mini library

"So what have you decided on doing then?"
Nunew asked

"We'll make this as his first and only warning. If something like this happens again, the boy's mother will be called in a formal meeting and we'll talk."
Zee watched as lizzie happily arranges the books on the shelf.

"Im worried about her."
Zee silently said.

Nunew looked at him and saw Zee's fatherly protective side.

"I know you are. But she's as tough as you. She's smart and intuitive. She knows how to take care of herself. You are raising a strong independent lady here phi"
Nunew reassures Zee.
