Danielles' eyes stung in the early hours of the morning. Feet chained to weights as she dragged herself along the school corridor like she had a lifes sentence.

Mondays never seemed to give you any slack for it being the worst day of the week. New week at school, back to waking up at the ass crack of dawn, dealing with assignments due that you forgot to complete. The day was doomed before it even started.

Coffee didn't seem to have any effect on her dazed mind as she wandered aimlessly with Josh and Dylan in tow. Dylan's rambles pass over her head, even more than they seem to do on a good day. The continuous words flew in one ear and out the other, she felt incredibly zoned out, with her mind conveying a blank slate. Skies were grey and cloudy, fogging up the misty minds of all students under its cover.

No work really gets done on a monday, it was almost a written rule. Concentration levels usually stay at an all time low while Teachers drone on with rubbish they class as critical information.

"Danielle? Danielle!"

"Huh, what?" cutting her suddenly out of her own thoughts, her head lazily whips around to the origin of the sound. Her eyes landed on a displeased looking Dylan, and Josh who held a knowing smirk on his face as they continued to move one foot in front of the other in the direction of their lockers.

"Have you even listened to a word I've said or are you off in loopy land again?" He said in an annoyed manner with disbelief dripping off his tongue at the possibility of someone not having the energy to listen to him.

"The second option." Bluntly stated, she mustered up a smile which looked more like a grimace before rubbing at her eyes as if it would magically clear her mind of the fog clouding inside her.

"Way to be straight up Danielle. You know you'll get nowhere without listening to others, believe it or not but that's actually how you communicate with people." Dylan rambled off while raising his voice at the end exaggeratedly to convey his point as if she had committed some kind of crime.

Josh patted his friend on the shoulder to shut him up while pointing a knowing glance towards the boy. "Dylan, I've known you for years and I do the same thing. I mean do you blame her for not listening to you rant on about Marvel characters?"

Dylan went to respond back letting his mouth drop open like a fish making Danielle glance at the two with a humoured filled expression as her and Josh exchange amused glances. "Okay fair point. You know I'll just stop speaking then if that's what the two of you want. We can look like we don't like each other at school."

"Don't take it personal, I just didn't get much sleep last night. The topic is very interesting." She gave him a look trying to follow through with her words but the boys saw straight through it, leading Dylan to send her an unamused look.

"You need to work on your poker face, It's painfully obvious and your screwed up face gives you away." Before either Josh or Danielle could respond, they reached the girls locker which had two girls propped against it. One waiting incredibly impatiently and the other holding a smile.

Just by giving the girls one glance she knew she was too mentally exhausted for the conversation that was about to occur. She wasn't particularly clued in on anything about it, but Flynn's anxious demeanour definitely gave a helping hand in letting her know something was up. The moment Flynn laid eyes on the girl she sprung up with a relieved yet frustrated expression only confusing her slow mind all the more.

"Where have you been! We've been texting you all morning, it was a band emergency." Flynns exasperated voice came out in a whispered shout of knotted string and phrases making Danielle furrow her brows plucking the phone in question out of her pocket with confusement.
