Arthur- 47. Sadie - 28.

(One year after the last chapter)

Sadie woke up to the sound of birds chirping, she stretched, eyes still closed. The woman groaned, rolling over in the bed. "Arthur?" Sadie question, she opened her eyes and sighed. "Mr. Morgan?" Sadie sat up in bed, eyes scanning the hotel room. A note on the bedside table caught her attention.

Dear Sadie,

When you wake up I'll be gone. I had to do a few things today before we get going on the bounty job. I had the front desk start you a bath around nine. Enjoy that if the waters still nice and hot. I'll be back by the time you're ready for breakfast.

Yours Arthur.

Sadie smirked, running a hand in her long tangled hair. " Well a bath does sound nice." She muttered.

Sadie grabbed Arthurs blue shirt off the chair and headed down the steps.

"Good day Miss. Your bath is ready. It should be nice and warm. Would you care for coffee?" Sadie smirked. " Thank you. Yes." The boy working the front desk smiled wide at Sadie, doing his best to be professional. She was a guest at the hotel after all, a very pretty one in nothing but a shirt. The boy hurried off to get the coffee.

Sadie flinched when she felt two large hands on her shoulders. " Someone's got the desk boy in a Huff, standing here in nothing but my shirt." Arthur whispered in her ear. She eased the moment she realized who was behind her. " Coffee Miss." The boy handed Sadie the coffee with shaking hands. " My woman sure looks pretty in my shirt don't she?" Arthur questioned, a smug look on his face. The boy gulped. " She's very pretty Sir.Your very pretty miss." Sadie rolled her eyes  and smacked Arthur's chest with her free hand.

"Leave the kid alone Arthur." Sadie snapped.
"Our bath ready?" Arthur questioned, arms around Sadie. She snickered, taking his hand.

" Follow me cowboy." Arthur tipped his hat as Sadie pulled him past the teenager working the front desk.

" Honestly Mr. Morgan, why must you act a fool around other men since we've become-Whatever the hell we've become." Sadie said as she unbuttoned her top. Arthur was leaning against the closed door, watching Sadie rant and slowly shed clothing. First her white long sleeved top, then her light blue under shirt, followed by her gun belt. " We are in love. We kick ass together as bounty hunters and we live our lives together on the road... Were together." Arthur said with a gulp. Sadie was down to nothing, letting her long blond hair free of its braid.

" Would you stop smiling like an idiot already!?" Sadie snapped, hands on her hips. " You even been listening to a word I've said?" She snapped after a moment.
" Sweetheart, how am I supposed to focus on your angy words when your sexy body's this close, nothing covering your smooth skin. I'm anything but focused right now." Sadie rolled her eyes and got into the bath.

" Well to summarize. All I said was stop acting so over protective or acting like I can't handle myself in this world!" Arthur sighed and started scrubbing her shoulders.

" Oh believe me, I know you can handle yourself. I've seen you kill more men with nothing but a knife. You're an amazing woman and I'm lucky to have you as my love. I'm just worried that one day you'll wake up and not want me anymore Sadie." Sadie frowned. " Oh Arthur, your-Im not going anywhere Baby." She pulled the man in for a loving kiss. Arthur sighed, moving over top of her in his clothing. Sadie laughed as Arthur started kissing her neck, body over hers in the water. " Wow-This is cold!" Arthur muttered, before he moved to kiss her lips again.

"So how we doing this?" Arthur asked, rifle in hand. Sadie smirked, eyes roaming around the entrance to the bar. " The fun way." Was all she said before she stroled into the bar. Arthur sighed, putting the weapon on his back, before following her inside.

" Yes see him?" Sadie whispered, eyes scanning all the men's faces. " Not yet." Arthur muttered, walking to the bar.

" What will it be?" The bartender asked, eyeing Sadie. "Two wiskys." Arthur replied. " And for the lady?" Sadie snickered. " One of them wiskys." She snapped, hand on her hip. The man eyed Arthur. " Ya heard the lady."

A few men walked over. " What business you got in this bar? Unless your a show girl?" Sadie rolled her eyes, downing the shot that was placed in front of her. Arthur smirked.

" I'd be careful if I was you fellas." The man said after the three continued to rant at Sadie. " It's the little flower here that needs to be careful!" Before anything else could be sad Sadie took her hunting knife from her boot and stabbed the man's hand, he screamed in pain, when another man went to slap Sadie, Arthur raised his arm and walked around the woman like a protective wall. " Try again!" Arthur snapped. Sadie took the shot glass and smashed it against another man's head, before punching him in the guy, the man hit the floor with a thud.

" Arthur, that's the bastard!" Sadie snapped, watching someone run out the back way. " I got em. " Arthur took off, leaving Sadie standing in the middle of the room with her throwing knives out. " You wanna turn big boy?!" Sadie asked, twirling the knife in her hand. The man took off and left the bar. The bartender was hiding behind the bar. " You can come out now." Sadie snapped. Putting the money for the alcohol, as well as some money for the damages. " That should cover it." She tipped her hat and took off out the side door.

Arthur ropped the bounty and smirked down at the man. " You was sure a hard fella to track down." The man gulped. " How did ya find me?" He asked, being slowly drug behind the horse by his boots. " We got our ways."

" Good work Arthur!" Sadie cheered, riding her horse. " All in a days work." The man blinked. " Her! Your with her!" The man asked, a tremble in his tone. " How yes and I'm the luckiest man alive. Sadie is remarkable." The woman rolled her eyes. " Sadie? Sadie Adler?" The man asked. Sadie blinked. " At a time-Yes... Why?" She snapped, revolver now pointed at the man. " Jake Adler... He was my uncle." Sadie blinked, getting a better look at the man... Or rather boy. " How old are you?" Sadie asked, putting her gun away, she got off her horse. Arthur watched closely. " Thirteen." He answered truthfully. " Arthur." The man sighed. " I'll untie the kid." He muttered.

" So your my Aunt?" The boy questioned, riding on the back of Arthurs horse. Sadie sighed. " I don't know. If your Jake's family, then yes. I didn't realize he had siblings." Sadie answered. " We'd known each other a long while before getting married. It was always really just us." Memorys came flooding back. " Uncle Jake is the youngest. My Ma shares the same father as Jake. Different mothers. I lost my parents. Been on my own two years... Been hiding out until you came along." Arthur snickered. " We could still get the money." Sadie scoffed. " Arthur Morgan!" He smirked. " I'm just joking with ya. So kid, you don't got nowhere to go?" Arthur questioned. "N-No. I thought I was the last of the Adlers.... Guess not." He said eyes on Sadie. "What's your name son?" Arthur asked. " James Rufus Adler. Sir."

"Well James, let's head home... Yea?" Arthur said with a smile, eyes on Sadie. "Home." Sadie muttered, eyes locked with Arthur.

" So your my uncle now?" The boy asked. Sadie smirked. " Well... Huh.." Arthur started. Knowing Sadie has turned his wedding talk down in the past. " Yes James, Arthur is your Uncle. Now let's head home."
