"What the hell are we doing?! And why is that old geezer chasing us with a chainsaw?!"

Kuroi ran up from behind me and to my left.

"That's our Professor! Professor. Oran Utan, renowned for being the most dangerous man in Kingdom!" 

"Professor? Dangerous?!"

"This is his class. Practical combat against predators where he teaches us to use our complexes to defend ourselves against predator Ani-humans! Like that mongoose human you fought."

The chainsaw sound got closer before stopping, we turned around as Professor. O spoke.

"That's right, all of which I explained yesterday. At orientation! But you three." 

He pointed at us with three fingers.

"Never showed. Complexes are like weapons, and some use those complexes to commit various crimes. It's our duty here at Kingdom to find and protect those with complexes. Which is why you need to learn how to fight. And I'll teach you via simple game. Hide and seek, those that get caught will be expelled and fail my class. Am I'm it."

(All three) "Fail?!"

"Now, lets begin" 

He pushed his feet into the ground and swung the chainsaw, my vision focused on the blade and I dodged it but he was quick and swung again. The only thing I could do was run away.

"How does he expect us to learn to fight by running away?!" 

He swung the blade at Yadoko but she effortlessly backflipped over it and ducked under the blade. He swung at Kuroi and it almost hit his chin but I wrapped my tail around him and pulled him away while dodging the blade. 

"Hmm, you must be using the superior reflexes of the King Cobra to dodge my blade. It won't save you though."

He continued swinging his blade as I kept dodging by a hair.

"For someone who came here to get rid of her tail. You seem pretty comfortable with your abilities." 

He swung his blade as he said something I never expected to here.

"You're practically a snake already." 

A snake. The spawn of Satan. And the embodiment of Monstrosity.

(Monster)

"Now you fail!" 

He leaped forwards at impressive speeds his arm outstretched. I tried blocking but Yadoko hopped at me, grabbing me and leaping away.

"This is no time for daydreaming Yumie!" 

"Uh, yeah!"

"Now Kuroi!" 

Kuroi ran up from behind Professor.O dodging under his blade.

"You look tired professor, why don't you relax with a MUD BATH!" 

He swept his spider legs in the dirt underneath them and threw it into the air causing a wall of dirt to fly up.

"Mind your manners boy. You disrespectful- ah. A smokescreen tactic." 

We kept running as Kuroi whispered.

"Does that old geezer ever give up?!" 

Yadoko shushed him as she whispered
