==============================

As Sangeeta left the bookstore, her phone buzzed. She glanced at the screen and saw Megha's name flashing. With a weary sigh, she answered."Hello?" Sangeeta said, trying to sound cheerful.

Instead of a warm greeting, she was met with loud noise and Megha's voice, bursting with frustration. "Hello? You absolute idiot! ###################################
(cursing in odia)..You've been leaving early for seven days now and haven't even bothered to say goodbye."

Sangeeta winced, holding the phone away from her ear. "Whoa, whoa! Relax! Are you still at the office? If you want to keep your job, stop shouting and cursing me."

Megha's tone softened, but she was still irate. "Oh, okay, fine. But seriously, at least you could've said goodbye."

Sangeeta rolled her eyes, even though Megha couldn't see her. "I told you, I've been trying to return an umbrella. It's not like I'm abandoning you forever."

Megha's voice took on a teasing tone. "Right, the umbrella guy. Did he show up? Or are you still waiting for your mysterious rain hero?"

Sangeeta sighed dramatically. "Nope, still waiting. I'm starting to think he's a goblin who only comes out at midnight. Anyway, I left my contact details with the shopkeeper. If the goblin decides to emerge from his secret lair, he'll get my message."

Megha's voice was full of mock sympathy. "Oh no, my poor Sizzy. You sound so disappointed. Did you fall in love with this umbrella guy or something?"

Sangeeta snorted. "What? Love? You're being ridiculous. I just wanted to give back his umbrella, not start a fairy tale romance."

Megha giggled. "Come on, buddy. I've known you for ten years. I can tell when you're smitten. You're practically sighing love songs!"

Sangeeta laughed, shaking her head. "Sighing love songs? Really? I'm just tired of waiting and not finding the guy. But hey, at least the shopkeeper is friendly, even if he's not the goblin I was hoping for."

Megha chuckled. "Alright, alright. Stop your melodramatic sighing and go home. I've got work to finish, so I am hanging up now."

"Fine, fine. See you tomorrow!" Sangeeta said, trying to sound cheerful despite her frustration.

After hanging up, Sangeeta walked to the bus stop, feeling a mix of disappointment and amusement. Her quest for the mysterious man and his umbrella had turned into a comedy of errors, and the cheerful conversation with Megha had lightened her mood, if only a little.

As she rode the bus home, she reflected on the week's events. She smiled, imagining her own funny little show, where she played the protagonist in search of a mythical umbrella hero. With a laugh, she resigned herself to the fact that sometimes, the best stories were the ones that didn't quite go according to plan.
