Summer's Child was scared of daggers now.

Seems silly, I know.

Ever since that moment in the tool shed, Ash hadn't picked up a dagger. To be fair, that was yesterday.

She contemplated telling Thalia about her vision and her talk with the little girl but decided against it.

She's got enough on her plate, I can't ask her to deal with my stuff as well.

Ash didn't know what to do, nothing felt exactly right anymore. She didn't sleep well. Not that that's new but still.

Her mind has taken her to another place. This time it was less...gory. There was a woman standing In front of her, she had windswept strawberry blonde hair and warm brown eyes.

My eyes

She wore a flowing dress, with a laurel crown resting on top of her head and a book in her hand. She sat underneath a willow tree by a creek. Four children surrounded her.

The children were all a bit different to each other, not in a bad way. Ash recognised three of them immediately: Helen the one who killed...her? The seemingly you her version of herself and the dark haired boy who clearly knew whoever's point of view Ash saw from the earlier vision.

The area seemed similar, almost nostalgic. The creek, the trees, it seemed all to similar to Ashlyn. Her eyes widened as she spotted a centaur in the distance teaching some kids archery.

Camp Half-Blood

This is camp, when 'Helen' lived.

Holy sh-

She passed around the grass and completely lost track of the children until one ran up to her.

It was the one who she didn't know, he had golden hair that blew over his face in the wind, bright blue eyes that took her back to the vision she had seen before.

He tugged on her hand and Ashlyn realised he could see her.

But how can he see me? It's a vision?

She let him drag her to the lady who gently tapped his head and the boy dropped Ash's hand immediately.

"Thank you Achilles, how about you go and try archery with the other?" The lady gestured the children towards the archery range

As they stumbled off, the lady gracefully walked over to Ash.

"Hey, darling, I'm sorry..." She tarted to say and then the corners of Ash's vision started to fade and she crumbled to the ground.

She woke up screaming, Thalia had already left, so she thankfully didn't wake her up. Percy barged into Cabin One with wide eyes and half asleep rambles. He held his sword, Riptide, in a defence position as he looked around widely for a threat.

There was no threat, just her own mind playing tricks on her.

When she tried to calm him down, he insisted to at least check behind the curtains for anything before grumpily stomping off to his own cabin; muttering curses on 'friends who don't value his help' and 'damn those Hunters'.

She gave up trying to placate him and went back to sleep.

She stared up at the grey ceiling above, it's was unwelcoming and cold as she shivered from the imaginary gale that flew through the cabin.

She left, the king of the gods might have been lenient enough to let her stay. But she felt that his domain told her that she had overstayed her welcome.

She packed up her stuff, stuffing it inside her backpack and tote bag and walked out. The crisp air hit her and stuff her face. The sun arose in the background and Ash felt momentarily at peace. She slowly walked towards Cabin Three.

She knocked and a very sleepy Percy answered.

"Can I stay for the night?"

He nodded and let her in, gesturing to the empty bed opposite his own.
She dropped her bags and almost fell into the bed.

Left in the cabin with her friends gentle snores and whispers from a past she didn't know was hers.
