There were very few things that Ashlyn Roy didn't know about.

Luke Castellan was not one of them. She knew everything about his story, the broken boy and his journey. Not that she was a stalker or something, it was a precaution.

Precautions to keep her safe. Too keep kids like Bianca and Nico safe.

But this was definitely not how she imagined their meeting to be like.

Thalia's face held echoes of pain as she put a hand on her silver bracelet "Where?"

Percy told them about everything that went down at the Natural History Museum- Dr. Thorne, Luke, the General, all the fun stuff.

Zoë frowned, "The General, impossible! You lie."

Ash paused to take a breath. It had been a while since she had been thrown into some monsters and god drama. She would say she missed it but...eh.

"Look we've got no time!" Percy said frustratedly. "There's Skeleton warriors-"

"What?" Thalia demanded. "How many?"

"Twelve," Percy replied. "That's not all. The General- he said something about sending a 'playmate' to distract you over here. A monster."

"We were following Artemis' trail," Grover said. "I'm sure it must have led here. Some powerful mister scent...she must've stopped here. But we haven't found anything yet."

"Zoë," Bianca said cautiously, "if it is The General-"

"It cannot be!" Zoë said angrily. "Percy must've seen an Iris-message or illusion of some sort!"

Ash frowned. Zoë was her mentor and friend and Ashlyn had nothing against her but right now she was going to kill them all with her stupidity.

"Zoë!" She snapped her fingers in the older girl's face. "We are gonna die here if we don't do something. You hear me? Die- D-I-E!"

Zoë paled as she realised the seriousness of the situation. "You are right, if Percy is telling the truth about the Skeleton warriors." She seemed alarmed. "There is no time to argue. They are the worst, the most horrible..We must move."

"Good idea." Percy said.

"I'm not including you boy," Zoë scrowled. "You are not part of this quest."

"Look, Zoë," Ash started sick of the arrogant behaviour. "I get it, the whole 'boy' thing but he is saving our lives. If you don't shut up- we die! I'm too young to die! I ain't even listened to 'In Between' as an actual released version!"

Zoë frowned "What-"

"You should've come, Percy. " Thalia cut Zoë off. "But you're here now. Come on, let's get back to the van."

"That is not thy decision!" Zoë snapped.

Ash was about to cry. Or shout. Or slap Zoë. All three were very valid options. She glared at the girl in a way that if looks could kill- she would be long gone.

Thalia glared at Zoë. "You're not the boss around here, Zoë! I don't care how old you are, you're still a conceited little brat!"

"You never had the wisdom when it came to boys," Zoë growled. "You could never leave them behind."

Then everyone went dead silent. Thalia looked like she wanted to punch something- something meaning Zoë.

Below them, a few adults screamed and a little kid screeched in delight "Kitty!"

Then something massive bounded up the ramp. It was the size of a pick-up truck with silver claws and glittery golden fur.

"The Nemean Lion," Thaila said. "Don't move."
