Wooyoung walked into San's room, finding him sitting on the bed, his eyes glued to the TV screen. There was a tension in the air that Wooyoung immediately picked up on.

"San? What's wrong?" Wooyoung asked, his voice laced with concern.

San tore his gaze from the screen, his expression troubled. "There's a virus, Wooyoung. A deadly one. It’s spreading fast. They’re calling it a plague."

Wooyoung's heart sank. "What? How… how bad is it?"

San sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Bad enough that they’re talking about quarantines and emergency measures. People are already getting infected, and it’s spreading like wildfire. It’s all over the news."

Panic began to bubble in Wooyoung’s chest. "What do we do? What if it spreads here? We’re in a hospital, San. It’s the first place it could reach."

San reached out and grabbed Wooyoung's hand, squeezing it reassuringly. "Let’s call the head doctor. He’ll know what to do."

They quickly dialed the head doctor, their hearts racing as the phone rang. When he picked up, his voice was calm but carried an undertone of worry.

"We just saw the news about the virus," San said urgently. "Is there anything we can do? What’s going to happen?"

The doctor sighed, his voice heavy. "We’re aware of the situation. A national platform of doctors and experts is convening today to discuss the plague and possible remedies. For now, the best thing we can do is stay calm and follow protocols. The hospital is already tightening its security and quarantine measures."

Wooyoung swallowed hard, trying to keep his voice steady. "Is there any way to protect ourselves?"

The doctor hesitated before replying, "The virus is still very new, so we don’t have all the answers yet. But until we know more, I’d advise both of you to stay in your room and avoid any unnecessary contact with others. We’ll keep you updated with any new information."

After hanging up, the two sat in silence for a moment, the weight of the situation settling over them. San pulled Wooyoung into a comforting embrace, trying to ease the tension.

"Don’t worry, Wooyoung," San whispered, though his own voice wavered slightly. "We’ll get through this together. We just have to be strong and trust the doctors."

Wooyoung nodded, but the fear in his eyes was unmistakable. "I’m scared, San. I don’t want to lose anyone else… especially not you."

San kissed the top of his head gently. "You won’t. We’ll fight this. Just like we’ve fought everything else."

But as the day wore on, the worry and uncertainty only grew, lingering like a dark cloud over their heads.

Wooyoung couldn’t sit still. Every few minutes, his eyes darted toward the TV screen, then back to his phone, waiting for any update, any news that could tell him more about the plague. The unknown was gnawing at him, filling him with a sense of dread he couldn’t shake.

“Wooyoung, come here,” San called softly, patting the space beside him on the bed.

Wooyoung hesitated but eventually moved over, curling up beside San. His mind was still racing, but the warmth of San’s arms around him provided some comfort.

“Do you think… do you think we’ll be okay?” Wooyoung asked, his voice small and uncertain.

San kissed his forehead gently, trying to soothe him. “We’ll be okay, Wooyoung. I promise. The doctors are doing everything they can. We just need to stay calm.”
