Her eyes welled up with tears as she stepped ahead. She mustered up the courage to speak, ....

"Lavanya.... How are you? Why didn't you tell me that you are coming back?" Kushi engulfed Lavanya into a tight, affectionate hug.

Arnav was first shocked, then surprised by Kushi's reaction. He smiled warmly and walked from there to his room.

"Chamkili!! Why are you crying like a child? I thought.... Forget it. Why didn't you pick up my calls? Did you know how many times I called to wish you for your marriage? You didn't even invite me," Lavanya patted Kushi with love.

"Leave all that, Lavanya. Tell me, how are you? I really missed you" Kushi and Lavanya continued their joyful chat till late night. Kushi then remembered the reason she had rushed all the way here.

"Lavanya, I'll meet you in the morning with your favorite cold coffee with extra cream," Kushi smiled with heartfelt satisfaction.

"Goodnight, Chamkili," Lavanya returned to the guest room.

Meanwhile, in Payal's room, Payal was talking to someone over the phone.

"Akash ji, did you know Lavanya would be here?" she asked in a slightly bothered tone.

"Then why didn't you tell me about it earlier?" she continued, exasperated.

"You're asking me why? She was engaged to Arnav ji. Didn't you think about Kushi?" she questioned Akash's thought process.

"At least you could have told me," Payal worried, her voice laced with concern.

"Of course, I know it was a love marriage, so what? It doesn't mean people don't have feelings or emotions," Payal took her frustration out on poor Akash.

In Arshi's room,

Kushi slowly entered her room. She saw Arnav going through files, sitting on the bed with an unusually cute smile on his face.

"Welcome back," Arnav stood up and cleared all the files and papers spread around the bed.

Kushi joined him in collecting the papers, and they started conversing as they picked up the court papers.

"I was worried for a moment," Arnav sighed, looking at Kushi with relief.

"So was I. Bua ji only showed me a newspaper. Honestly, I didn't understand a thing, Arnav ji. I'm just glad you are alright," Kushi replied, her voice filled with genuine concern.

"I wasn't worried about that case at all. It's a usual thing in the industry. You have nothing to worry about. I'm a very clean, honest businessman, Mrs. Raizada," Arnav comforted her, his tone reassuring.

Something tickled in her brain. "Then, what were you worried about ?" a curious Kushi asked.

Arnav smiled, looking at his innocent wife. "What else? You. I didn't know how you would react upon seeing Lavanya. I mean, those tears..." Arnav smiled, reminiscing the moment.

"I was worried because Lavanya used to be my friend. And honestly, I didn't know how to face her," Kushi's face grew smaller, her eyes down.

"What do you mean?" Arnav asked, his brow went up in confusion.
