Just like Liam predicted, Zayn did put him on bedrest. Everything he'd like gets taken upstairs to him

He does move around of course, but it's all limited. For the sake of blood flow but even for that he barely has energy as the weeks progressed

With the baby expected to be born any day now, the nurse has all but moved in with them, the doctors number is on speed dial, and Louis, Niall and Edward visit every other day

Whenever Liam moves or wherever he goes, Cerberus is with him. And he's grateful because he feels like he constantly needs support now

The only time he feels comfortable is in the bathtub that Zayn has newly installed in their bathroom after Liam mumbled 'stupid standing showers'

Now he fills the tub with water, and lays in it where most of his pain would be washed away. Zayn would sometimes sit with him, sometimes he won't. Sometimes Liam would ask him to join, sometimes Liam would threaten to cut his neck off if he's within 5 feet of him when he's in the bathroom

But Zayn understands, so he just kisses Liam's head and leaves him alone when he needs to, he'd never be too far away... that's just a no for him

And for Liam, because no matter how much he tells Zayn he needs time alone, he's terrified of what can happen if he was

Louis opened the door to Zayn's house and frowned, the house was quiet, too quiet

He came alone, as Edward was visit his parents and Niall would be coming later with Hestia

Louis slowly walked upstairs and stopped when he saw Zayn "I thought you both were asleep" Louis joked with a smile but his smile fell when Zayn turned towards him

He seemed happy but also terrified, and Louis rushed to hug him "Today?"

Zayn forced a nod "Yeah, today... the doctors in with him as well as the nurse" he took a deep breath and hugged Louis tighter

"Louis, I'm terrified..."

Louis held onto him "Breath yeah, I'll call the others, you just focus on breathing"

Zayn pulled away and looked at Louis "Demeter... as much as I don't like her, Liam would like it if his mother is here... they've been contact a lot more since the beginning of this week and- I may be wrong; but she also may be worried about him"

Louis nodded "I'll take care of it all"

In seconds the house was nearly full, some were downstairs, some were upstairs but Zayn didn't move from his seat by the door

They couldn't hear anything from inside the room and it was driving Zayn crazy, he wanted to know something, to hear anything but there was literally nothing he could do

Demeter and Louis were with him, but she was seated quietly with her legs crossed, and Louis rubbed Zayn's back

Edward came to check on them every little bit, Zayn had to shove Louis away to go comfort his husband

Zayn looked at Demeter, then shook his head and stood up. She looked at him and frowned

"Going downstairs"

"No I'm going into the room"

Demeter sighed "There are rules for a reason"

Zayn rolled his eyes "I care as much about those rules as I do about your opinion" he said then walked towards the door and opened it

The doctor was immediately by the door "You aren't-"

"5 minutes, then I'll be out. You aren't telling me about him and I need to know if he's ok"
