A Hero's Next Step

Six years haves passed since the Dragon's Head Conflict and their time in Yokohama. But now in a new home and at fourteen years old, Izuku continues striving down his path to being a hero. Today was the start of his 3rd year at Aldera Junior High and he was currently rushing so early in the morning to see any heroes in action. Heading towards the main city he just happened to arrive seeing a crowd spectating a battle. "Oh, wow! A massive villain!"

"Hey, Deku!!" Izuku turns to see one of his best childhood friends, Ochaco running towards him. "I had a feeling you'd be here!"

"Ochaco! Good morning."

"Good morning indeed. So, what's going on?"

"Don't know I just got here."

"Man! His quirk can make him monster like?" the civilian's mutter. "That's insane!"

"And all of this chaos just for a purse he stole. Well, he got himself cornered and was left with no choice but use his power."

"I'm here live at the train station where a villain rampages." a reporter says. "Who knows when we'll start riding it again?"

"Who do you think is fighting him, Deku?" Ochaco asks.

The hero that was pursuing the villain was covered in wooden armor. "First you rob a citizen of their belongings and then you cause a commotion while illegally using your power?"

"It's Kamui Woods!" Izuku exclaimed. "He's been rising high in the hero charts!"

"Now that's accurate knowledge." one of spectators said hearing Izuku. "You wouldn't happen to be a fan boy, aren't you?"

Izuku denies it while Ochaco giggles.

"Evil will not escape punishment." Kamui says extending his wooden arms. "Preemptive Binding Lacquered Chain Prison!" Kamui surrounds the villain with his arms, but then the monster was kicked by a young woman his size.

"Pick on someone your own size!" she says. "Canyon Cannon!" Izuku and Ochaco were surprised as the arrival of the new hero attracts the crowd's attention. "Hey, everyone! What a way to start my hero career. Call me Mt. Lady. Nice to meet you all." The cameras were flashing at her while Kamui dropped to his knees in defeat. 'Sorry, Kamui. But my recent debut was ruined. I needed a win.'

With the villain in custody, some of the crowd dispersed along with Izuku and Ochaco who continued to school. But once they turn the corner, a man who was running slams into Izuku causing them both to fall down. "Deku, are you okay?" Ochaco asks crouching to her friend.

"Yeah." Izuku answers. "I just wasn't watching where I was going."

"Don't bother apologizing." the man says. "It's my fault. I was just in a hurry. Get your butts to school."

"Of course. Let's go, Ochaco."

"Right behind you."

As they continue walking, the man picks up a book and opens it seeing the most weirdest notes he ever seen. "Hey, kid! Is this yours?"

Izuku turns to see that he was holding on to his latest Hero Analysis for the Future. "Yes! It is!" He then rushed back to grab it. "Thank you so much!" Izuku thanked shaking the man's hand.

"Of course. Good luck on being a hero!" Once Izuku and Ochaco were out of his sight, the man smirked to himself. 'What a way for him to become one of those heroes. He studies their quirks, costumes, and moves. He has what it takes to rise up. Now then, now that I'm alone, let's find a good river.'

(Aldera Junior High)

"This is your third year. And right now, kids, your futures are what you need to think about! Your assignments would be to fill out these career forms but... who am I kidding? You all want to be heroes!" The entire class cheers out using their quirks while Izuku, Ochaco, Katsuki, and Camie just kept their normal composure. "Look, I get it that you're all excited, but you know that using your quirks is against the rules."
