[MINHO]
When Minho woke up, the sun told him it was around 4:30 in the morning.
Ryann had told him the night prior that they wouldn't be heading for the maze until 6, so he decided to work out.
He was almost done when he spotted Ryann talking to Alby and then walking in the direction of the kitchen.
Minho quickly jumped to his feet. He had been trying to get a moment alone with her all week.
To his luck, she had also been avoiding him all week. He wasn't sure why she was doing it, but he wanted to talk to her and figure out if he did anything wrong.
She had acted slightly more normal the night before when he ran into her and Ben in the runner's hut, but other than that, she'd been acting very strange.
She stopped and turned around when she heard Minho call out to her.
He jogged up to her and spoke;
"Hey, can we talk for a sec?" He asked, hoped high.
"Uh, I'm just about to go eat breakfast, can it wait?"
"I mean, not really since you're doing everything in your power to avoid me." He gave her a sideways smile.
She gave him a small laugh before looking down at the floor embarrassed.
"I'll be quick, I promise." He said with a reassuring smile.
She looked up and reluctantly agreed.
"I just want to know what's wrong. I mean, you've been avoiding me all week and I thought you were just having a hard time at first, but then you were acting completely normal with Ben last night. Now, I'm assuming it's something I did, and I would like to know what I did." He said.
She sighed before speaking. "No, you didn't do anything. It's just- sorry it's gonna sound ridiculous." She laughed a little looking away.
"Don't worry about it, I won't laugh."
She met his eyes for what was probably the first time since he approached her.
"Remember what I told you, that night at the bonfire?" Minho nodded. "The thing is, I wasn't really planning on ever telling anyone else about it, especially not you." She paused. "I guess it just slipped out and I don't even know why I told you, but I just feel weak everytime I think about it. Like I'm just reminded of how no matter what I do, they'll always be bigger, stronger."
"And, when i told you I thought you wouldn't think of me the same way. I just don't want you to think I'm some helpless little girl who needs protecting." She said and looked down on the ground again.
"Ryann, I know damn well that you're not helpless, you've done enough to prove that. And I also happen to know that you would elbow me in my stomach, if not worse, if I tried to tell you or anyone else that you need to be protected. I'm happy you felt comfortable enough to tell me something so private, but it doesn't change the way I see you, okay?" He told her, hoping she would let down her guard like before.
"Really?" She looked up at him with a small smile.
"Yes, really." He rolled his eyes with a smile. "Now, let's go find Aaron so we can eat something and run the maze." He said.
"Fine, but I have no idea where he is and I don't really feel like chasing him through the whole Glade." She said and started walking.
"I think I saw him a little while ago behind the kitchen." Minho said and walked in that direction.
