The monsoon season had arrived, and Jaipur was drenched in rain. One evening, after a particularly heavy downpour, the city streets were flooded, and Ananya's event had been canceled.

Feeling restless, she called Meera. "Let's go for a ride. The rain's too beautiful to waste."

Meera hesitated but was quickly convinced by Ananya's enthusiasm. They hopped onto Ananya's scooter, with Meera riding pillion, and set off through the rain-soaked streets.

The city, usually bustling with life, was quieter now, the rain muffling the usual noises. They rode through empty lanes, the rain drenching them but neither of them caring. It was a rare moment of freedom, just the two of them and the rain.

Ananya suddenly stopped the scooter by a lake. The rain had softened into a drizzle, and the water shimmered under the dim streetlights.

"Isn't it beautiful?" Ananya whispered, her voice barely audible over the soft patter of rain.

Meera nodded, lost in the moment. They stood there, side by side, watching the rain ripple across the water, feeling as though they were the only two people in the world.
